it's so educating and interesting to see how it works on the other side of the Atlantic. I get flashbacks from my own ends of summers, like a hundred years ago and me and my friends taking the bus to town to se if we could find a cool planner or pencases. My kids didn't find it so exciting at all before their schools started... A huge difference between your and our school starts is that we never needed to take anything with us. The school lended us scissors and glues and we got pens, erasers , papers and so on. It was first when we went to 7'th or 13'th grade we needed to bring pens and papers. Love watch your shopping!

Kids go back to school every test the day after Labor Day. I have 4 so I bulk shop then spilt everything. You know buying extras and whatnot for the rest of the year. I start like 2nd week of August. I love it.

We safety pin our sock pairs together with rust proof pins. They stay together nicely while being washed, we never have to sort socks, and the stay together in the drawers.

I will be rewatching this video. My daughter will be starting second grade on august 21 which is early for our school county. I enjoy going through Walmart clearance for item’s especially for Christmas gifts. Last year I bought a LOL surprise doll house in July for Christmas hid it at my mom house the whole time.

I took my 2 kids to back to school shop at Walmart and also spent $250 that included socks and some clothes too. My kids are going into prek and 3rd grade.

The girls did so well ❤ love when they guest star. Pen Twitter was talking about the stabilo- eaaybirdy. I haven't heard of the Cantu protective styles line, but I do use the cantu curling cream, I like it. My grandparents used dial. I love the smell it reminds me of them. School supplies are so expensive. My sister keeps a stash box as well with all the stuff they always need (writing utensils, glue sticks, folders etc) it makes the rest of the list more manageable.

Due to my daughter is just entering high school they give them a majority of the supplies they need. They provide them with a Favorites binder tab, dividers, and things of that nature and unfortunately because they have the chrome book system they don’t really need very many supplies so other than lead and mechanical pencils, a couple erasers, and a couple of pads of paper. I really didn’t have to very much of anything. I just still have to go out and get her backpack. That’s the last thing on the list! I have two homeschooling kids who have Several packs of looseleaf paper still left in stock from last year so I only bought a couple extra packs this year and some extra pencils and pencil tops but again I really didn’t have to buy much of anything either my entire order came in at under 30 bucks for three kids to being homeschooled and in eighth grade and then my eldest daughter in the house is entering ninth grade this year 6:41

I love these videos for the nostalgia!! My dad used to let us get one "fun" thing each year it was usually those fooey erasers or squishy pencil grips. I used to LIVE for picking out my folders/binder/notebooks. I can't believe Zara is going to middle school!

You are so funny, Jia with your pen obsession; whenever you see a new style or color, you’re like “squirrel!” That’s me, too. I have been back-to-school obsessed since I was a little girl. I never liked going back to school but I loved getting the paper, pencils, notebooks, etc. My favorite item was getting new lunchboxes every year. What is your recipe for cowboy caviar and could you make it in a future vlog? I don’t recall if you’ve already done so. Your girls Ava and Zara are so sweet and adorable. Thanks so much for sharing. Hi Jia! When i went to middle school, i got my 1st jansport backpack. They can get pricey, but they can last multiple years and a lot of people use it from 6th grade to beginning of college as they last a long time. 😊

This is my second year of my son in school & thankfully in Ireland expenses have gone down a little, we no longer need to buy the books which has cut a lot out,. My son's teachers list isn't too extreme honestly but it's all name brands has to be Crayola & pritt stick large glue sticks, dry erase markers 5 which is an odd number here as I can only find 4 or 6 so I just bought 2 4 packs so there's a few extra,his uniform is the biggest cost honestly but then it saves on clothes for the week so pros & cons to everything 😊

We like the Walmart ear buds. And my other daughter likes the Walmart head phones. I think the headphones are around $8 at Walmart but held up the whole school year. Whatever that cheap brand is they have. Groove on or something like that.

Our supplies list is a joke. They don’t you 75% of it all year.. they wont update it either. So when i get my sons teachers names i email to see what is actually needed and get that. I also donate Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer and tissues too! And if they need snacks. Etc. but the list here in PA is a joke!
