When my sister and I were little, we would go through this never ending chest of treasures our great grandmother kept of our aunts clothes. I still have some of the pieces, I think. It’s such a core memory. Now, I started putting pieces a side for my niece. I don’t know if she’ll love everything but I am sure we’ll have fun going through them in 15 years.

I would personally only keep stuff, to pass down to my kids, that I wore on a regular basis and is still in good condition. Something personal and nice that they will also get a lot of use from.

I’ve recently decided to keep and store things that I don’t wear anymore if they are materials I know will last. The two reasons being, as you said I think my future kids would be delighted to look through them, and they may become my style again or fit me again at one point.

I agree! things tend to always come back into being "trendy" eventually. I have a bin of my old clothes at my parents and I always pick a few things that I think I'll wear again when I go visit them! It's like a thrift store but my own clothes haha

You did inspire me to do a closet clean out this weekend :,) to answer your question I would keep certain vintage clothing pieces for my kids and 🥻did make it to the end sometimes I watch your videos to just relax :] I am a cancer too I got so excited when you said that and thinking back on all the videos I've watched you make 😅it all makes sense now, so creative, inspiring and love your content!!

i have leather trench coat that is humungous for me from my dad and i am in fact keeping it until someone close to me (i don't plan on having kids) wants it I also like that expensive hand me downs can really help your style evolve like i have this coat that is straight outta the 60s from my grandma that helped me get into a more personalized business style

yes!! it's so fun to experiment with vintage pieces and making them more modern :)

👗 loved this video! I’m moving house in a couple of weeks so will definitely be doing the same soon! I also love how unique everyone’s personal style is, like seeing some pieces you chose to donate that I would have kept hahaha and I would also for sure keep the clothes from your mum! I was always so sad that my mum never kept her cool pieces from the 90s so I said I was going to keep all my favourite pieces for my own kids one day!

It is so interesting! sometimes its not a matter of if I like it or not but more of letting go of things that I've worn SO much to the point where I want to experiment with new pieces and get out of my comfort zone! Definitely keeping my moms stuff! They just don't make clothes the quality that they did 25+ years ago. Thanks for watching love

Hey so a club at my school does clothing swaps! And how they do it is they give you credits based on what you donate, and then you can use the credits to get different clothes from the swap! I got a gigantic cozy knitted hoodie from it it was brand new I think it’s from cider but I always wear it to sleep and when I’m in my pajama i love it

I have a lot of clothes (lol oops) so I typically sell things when they don’t fit me BUT I do keep a small bin of things that were my absolute all time favorites so that I can pass them on to someone
