Thanks for the Costco tour. Was debating on getting a membership but after watching this and seeing the prices I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Just because they sell in bulk doesn't necessarily mean you're getting the best price. I love Aldi's for groceries.

You have to do cost comparison to the servings/weight of the item sold. My local Aldi is not a better price point than my local Costco.

I’ve been checking everyday for a Costco trip!! FINALLY!! I’m so glad to hear you’re following Fav City!! I’ve found some better options when at Costco. Since it’s just me, I definitely make a huge effort to try his recommendations!! Turkey meat was a big one I had purchased before he showed it on his video. Instead of the type you bought, I got the organic in the area by the deli!! I also grabbed the Havarti cheese and the rolls I make are so good!! The cookies you didn’t like, I didn’t like the first time I tried them but last time I loved them!! Much much better option!! HUGE HAUL!! Yet, definitely needed!! I love when Everett does the like & subscribe!! Too cute!! It’s been fun to watch his speech continue getting clearer in the almost year I’ve been watching!!

Prices are at least double as much as in Belgium (Europe) 😲 If I see what the prices are for "regular" food, then I hold my breath for what the prices are for people who have food allergies ... 😞 Over here that is always much more expensive.

Oh my gosh. Those prices are so high! I understand why they are higher than mine here in the Texas Panhandle, because they can't just be trucked in and our prices are being raised all the time as I'm sure yours are. Because of the high prices I have a question for you. The homesteaders there that do not have an outside job how do they cope with the extremely high prices since they are not being paid a high wage to go along with the inflation?

I am not sure. They must grow a lot of their own food and then harvest moose and fish. It would be difficult but they must have some sort of money coming in... I am not sure.

Lauren, you just showed us how strong an Alaskan Mama is, you just picked that mattress up and threw it down like it was light as a Feather. That was a great price on those mattresses. Looks like a great selection of fruit, vegs, and Mom Box essentials. Prices in Illinois especial meat, eggs, dairy, milk high. Good thing you gotta a deal on Gas. It is good the kids are busy, having a great time. And I think a shopping venture by yourself at times is therapeutic, especially when you get to enjoy the first ice cream bar out of the box, I Probably would have had 2. You remind me of my Mom, she used to always buy a snack for the drive home. Usually one of those things we hardly bought. Today, I followed your example and got Popcorn with gouda cheese for the ride home. I turned the music up and had a great time. Thanks for taking us along. The Boys are all getting so big.

Yes, Alaska does tend to have a bit higher salaries. We are very blessed to be able to afford the things we need and want and we are so grateful. Mark's job has been such a blessing. He works hard and then comes home and plays hard with his family. Thanks for watching!

Hi Trudy! Depends on the trip. If my parents are home, they watch her, since they live downstairs. If they are also gone, she goes to Grandma Hamm's house or Mark's sisters. If no one is home then I have my friend Andrea come and take care of her. Lots of options !

It's two years since you posted this video but I love all of your videos, past and present. Grocery shopping makes me happy and calms me. But Covid appeared and killed that vibe. Now, in 2024, my daughter and I have begun shopping in storesbut still only about 10 times or less. She's still protective of my health (66 years old with Type 2 diabetes and Coronary Artery Disease) plus with new strains of Covid and Monkey pox popping up, my trips to grocery stores will probably be stopped. SO, shop and post the videos for those of us who can't get out! Love to your family.

so far, the BIGGEST Haul, I have ever seen on KZbin, $10,000+, they do One big haul per year and they visit stores weekly. Queenscabinet aka Shelby We have been going to Costco and Sam's weekly* . *The Stores are PACKED* *I have been hearing for 2 months that in September, we will have will GROCERY SHORTAGE AT THE STORES, throughout The United States. IT WILL BE WORSE BETWEEN OCTOBER - December 2022, please just be prepared, if it doesn't happen, that will be good* *WAIT AND SEE* ! *Seriously STOCK UP, IF there going to be a food shortage, people will not find the food, they normally buy weekly* .

This is the first time I'm watching your video so I apologize if I overstep because it's personal for me, but is your thyroid enlarged in your neck? I found out I had hashimoto's on the RHS which I got from my mom, but they also found MPTC cancer on the LHS so I had a TT last year. If not then AWESOME! I would rather be safe then sorry. When I started cutting & lost 65lbs eating healthier I switched to a lot of Soy products which is why the Hashimoto's lump they found was enlarged.

When I lived in Laramie, WY, because of the altitude the roads were at risk of being closed like a good 8 months out of the year, and so folks would go down to Ft. Collins, CO and stock up at Cosctco to get through like October to May

Definitely a haul. I have noticed that there are several items you purchase at Costco that pricing here in Central Missouri at Sam's is maybe a $1 difference or almost same. Inflation isn't helping costs anywhere. But it's nice to see what the prices are. I'm prepping for my move to North Pole, AK when I retire in 6 years, so between your videos and The Somers, it's helping me do that. Also, my daughter Elizabeth loves watching your families videos. She's excited about our move.

Am I correct to assume that wages and salaries are higher in Alaska and it's easier to afford these high prices in Alaska? I have been looking at moving to Alaska but I'm worried about the prices on everything. Some videos, the prices seem relatively close to what I see around here. However, some things are way over what they're priced for around here. I'm in Maine so we are kind of like Alaska in that it takes more to ship everything here because we are so far out of the normal freight lanes.
