When I opened the box, I was overwhelmed by all the pieces and instructions because I’m horrible at following instructions but you give me hope I can do it too. @@cindicusimano5674What do you get with the kit? Are the windows, doors, stairs and bannisters included, or do you have to make them yourself? Also, do you put electric lights in the doll house? I know you can buy electric lights for these, but are they difficult to install?

I made that kit. I furnished it like a Victoria era farmhouse complete with vegetable patch, greenhouse, stables, and barnyard. It was fully wired for lights. It took me a year and a half to complete. Spent well over a $1000 on it to make it perfect. It was beautiful.......then, one day when it was fully done and on display, i was doing the laundry and my kids got to it and broke it and all of the furniture inside of it. Had to trash the whole thing. Moral of the story, dont build one of these kits if you have small children. They will think its a toy and try to play with it no matterhow much you tell them its not a toy. My kids are older now, so i think it might be safe to get back into miniatures. Pray for me and my dollhouses lol.

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry that happened! I have a toddler and he loves playing with it even though it's nowhere near done. I built him his own little dollhouse to play with so he keeps his hands out of mine but it's not working lol. He loves messing around in the kitchen and has broken several pieces. It's okay though- things can be replaced and a happy childhood is my focus for now :)

I love your tool links and have purchased several of your suggestions. Some things I already had on hand. My next purchase is the resin printer and finish kit. The 3d printer has brought my 15 yr old daughter back into my passion for minis. Thank you so much for your simple, yet thorough aids! Can’t wait for your next tutorial!
