Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

We post new ear cleaning videos Monday - Friday at 9PM GMT so if you find ear wax removal satisfying please consider subscribing to our channel.
Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

@jessicaheimer8599
@jessicaheimer8599 Ай бұрын
@shellyrose9247 honestly I don't know if you can if they are permanent. I had multiple sets of tubes as a child and the scar tissue led to permanent perforations. Ear drums will heal themselves if it is due to say an infection that they get perforated, but mine won't do that, and if they did, I'd have to have surgery to open them back up probably to prevent infection.

I watch you guys all the time I’m from Canada and I am a personal support worker who works with elderly people, and it amazes me on how often these elderly people are being yelled at because they can’t hear and it’s because your ears are full of wax, it just blows my mind But I learn a lot from you guys and I’m constantly telling the doctors or the head nurses that they have to have oil in their ears in order to help remove the wax from the ears for when the specialist come in to do it now they’re starting to realize here in Canada that80% of the elderly people have tons of wax in their ears and that is the reason why they can’t hear. But you and Taylor teach me a lot about all the different things that could happen with people with all these issues thank you guys from Canada, Ontario Ottawa.

I was recently fitted for a hearing aid and I’m not having much luck using it . The aid seems to be amplifying background sounds a lot more than I’d like , is there a way to improve this ? I know during fitting the nurse wanted to insert a brush like instrument into my ear prior but as someone with a history of ear problems I was too uncomfortable with it .

Hi guys! I'm from upstate NY, USA, but I was recently diagnosed with AICA loops via MRI. I have had pulsatile tinnitus, vertigo and considerable pain in both ears for many years. They became so bothersome and debilitating my primary doctor sent me for the MRI. Now I'm having trouble finding a doctor who can help me. I've seen a neurologist who claimed it was migraines, even though she had the MRI results already. When the weather gets rainy the pressure makes my head and ears unbearable. Might either of you have any suggestions as to what I can do to get some relief? I've got an appointment with ENT late July. Love the videos! Thanks for all you do!

Enjoying your very satisfying videos, as specialists may I ask you a question which I can't find the answer to anywhere at the moment. I have blocked ears due to soft sticky earwax in my narrow ear canals but I also have severe hyperacusis. Micro suction is too painfully loud for me so what are my options? Would having earwax removal under general anesthetic prevent hearing damage? I'd be most grateful for any advice you can give on this as I'm not sure what to do at the moment.

Seeing/watching about the gentleman that uses ear defenders/ear plugs reminded me of myself. I work on and around fighter aircraft, with jet engines daily. I used to need irrigation every year or two, otherwise a quick blast from the shower head would swell the impacted wax I had, and cause instant hearing loss/fullness feeling. I once had both ears impacted at once, and it was a miserable week using ear drops (I assume similar to olive oil or peroxide) to loosen it up. Usually, I held a kidney shaped bowl under my jaw line to catch the fluid, as they irrigated my ear clean. Incredible the size of wax that would come out, didn't think my ear canal could pass such large wax plugs. Strangely, I haven't been affected by wax and/or hearing loss for the last 8 years, despite still working around jets daily, and still using double ear pro for many hours at a time (ear plugs and ear muffs/protectors). The outer muffs tend to create a lot of humidity, which then gets trapped under the ear plugs, or "foamies". Hopefully my ears stay happy, and I won't have to visit the audiologist anytime soon!
