Ovaltine is a childhood drink for almost every Thai child. They often give it to children to drink. Of course, there are also those that you can make yourself. But no one has ever made it yourself and it tastes the same as when you drank it as a child. That is why many people line up to have a taste of childhood again. Before, there was a clip on KZbin that taught how to make Ovaltine in the school Ovaltine recipe, but it still wasn't the same. When I was a child, the Red Cross Fair that I went to was held at the Royal Equestrian Statue near the Royal Palace. It wasn't the palace at Wat Phra Kaew, but the palace where the King currently resides. That's very close to my home. I hope you get well soon.😊

@@ChovyTravel The Red Cross was first established under another name. At that time, our country was at war with France over territory. There were many wounded people but no nursing organization. The King therefore established this charitable organization to help relieve suffering and assist nurses. He assigned another Queen to take care of it. It was originally under the name of the Siamese Red Cross Society. Later, it was recognized by the International Recognition Section, the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1920. The following year, the Thai Red Cross Society became a member of the "International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies". The Thai Red Cross Society has been under the care of the Royal Family since its inception until now. The Red Cross Fair is an event organized to generate income for the Thai Red Cross Society. It is held in Bangkok and other provinces.

@@ChovyTravel The Thai Red Cross Society recently sent doctors to help perform cataract surgery and provide free treatment to Laotians. The income from this work will be returned to take care of the people in the country and its neighbors.

It's ridiculously expensive compared to last year. They used to sell strawberry yogurt smoothies for 25 baht, but now they're 40-50 baht at least. Last year, there were roller coasters, haunted houses, and lots of rides in the fair. There was even a stunt motorcycle show. And this year? Just overpriced food and fair games where you try to win a giant doll to take home. That's it. The Red Cross Fair I had been looking forward to has turned into just an ordinary night market focused on selling street food for tourists.

We did hear their prices are more expensive. Wow! Last year would’ve been even more fun 😅 That’s unfortunate. Hopefully, they will continue the old school ways for next year 🤞

Our Queen Mum,Queen Sirikit and HRH Princess Sirindhon are president and director of the Thai red cross society.This is the reason why this fair is the biggest charity event of the year. Both government and private agencies join together and support for raising money to present to the Thai red cross. People who go to the fair and shopping the foods,the products and the services is equivalent to making merit for Thai red cross as well.❤❤❤

i visited there too! i went the 3rd day of the festival. and oh my, its so crowded that i can barely walk. ( i go there 5pm). red cross fair is a place where theres a tent from all the government ministry and agency. there will also have lot of famous restaurant from around thailand sold ina cheap price

I highly recommend you to visit Kaset Fair (31-Jan to 8-Feb) at Kasetsart University (accessible via BTS green line northbound) They held annual event similar to the Red Cross Fair and the food were amazing as well! PS.. squid (fish) cake is somewhat fusion food from the original, some shops even sell crabstick cake 😂

Everyone go there just have to get ovaltine drink! Is a child hood memory …the flavor that we love when we were a kids .. school in Thailand only get hand out this drink once a year and come in a little cup.. I remember its taste so good.. then when they caN come get bigger one here at this fair
