Gorgeous! I have a 100 gallon stock tank pond outside that needs to be transitioned indoors for the winter... if I had more space in my basement I would love to have a setup like yours. For now I have to start most of my pond plants over every spring.

Thanks bro, it will definitely freeze over this winter so I brought them inside! The water was about 66 degrees when I took them out. My area routinely gets below zero weather in the winter so my summer tubbing is limited to May-Sep

Just as needed, maybe once every month or two? It's hard to say because I don't really keep track. Basically if the tank is looking a little grimey and I haven't done it in a while I'll clean them out during my water change. I use Aqua Papa sponge filters from Amazon but I'm considering converting to matten filters when I have more money to throw at the fish room

Yes I do, they absolutely crush the insect granules! I like that I can chuck the Ebo foods in and they're too big for my rainbows to eat so the cory's actually have time to eat it. I kind of found that out by accident because I was feeding my plecos and the cory's seemed to love it!

Rainbows are great community fish! They have very small mouths too, so I wouldn't worry about them being aggressive with any other fish. That's a big tank so you could keep any species of rainbowfish you would like! Some of the most popular are the Boesemoni!@@etienneseitz3653

I want a couple more Bosemani (males preferably from Rosario’s line) and maybe a group (6) of Blythe River fish, the older and more colorful the better. I’m willing to pay a premium for your pick of the litter :) I like the idea of Pearl Gouramis and one of those Peppermint Plecos. Rather than shipping I would prolly just assume drive to you or maybe coordinate for pickup at GCCA swap or Greenwater (which is next week). What do you think?

Dan, out of curiosity...what is your secret with keeping so many angels together as adults? My blues I got from you are beginning to get salty with one another...55 gal rimless, 8 of them.

Hmmmm, I don't know. It seems like a toss up honestly! Sometimes mine get really salty too, especially when one pair is trying to breed and claim a territory. I always thought the more fish you have the less aggression you'll get since it will get harder and harder to build a hierarchy. Maybe that's just for African Cichlids? I'm honestly not sure, maybe I just got lucky? I tried keeping some smaller angels in that tank and they were constantly getting chased around by the larger ones

I love my rainbows (Goyders, Boeseman's and Wapoga Allenis). They Definity color up more with a quality food diet that isn't just the same thing every day. I feed them bloodworms, brine shrimp, a mixture of Kens flakes, Xtreme Community Crave flakes, Fluval bug bites, Veggie pellets and Xtreme community PeeWee pellets. Spoiled fish.

Goyder river and Alleni are definitely on my list! It's good to hear you have the same experience with the coloration as well. I will have to try the peewee pellets! I love Xtreme foods, I just wish they were a little more affordable. But they are quality foods so it's worth it. Thanks for sharing 😊
