As Forrest Gump once said “One day it started raining, and it didn’t quit for four months.” I’m pretty sure we experienced all four months of rain in this single off roading trip.
This was the wettest Rausch Creek trip any of us have experienced, but it was a great shake down run for everyone, and that was the goal. The idea was to take it easy, but we ended up running blacks for a majority of the day, and even hit a red here and there.
Our group ran the East side property, and went through B to C to O, side tracked to CV trail, and then to Topless for Tatas. There was steep spots there which were fun, and afterwards we made our way into the West side via J. That was super twisty, and a lot of fun in the slop. From there, I wrapped up my day with the red short cut into Rock Creek, and then going through Rock Creek. After getting through, my trans was starting to get warm, and I was pretty content with the shakedown run.
We covered a ton of ground, and inbetween that and the weather wasn’t able to get a ton of footage of the other rigs. Still, was a great time, and I can’t wait to get back out there with these guys at the Bronco Round up in a month and a half.
Now time for repairs…
