I decided to lay down and take a little power nap, but before I went to sleep, I wanted to watch your latest episode… September 4, 2024. Then I woke up to hearing you and Matt talking about sledding, deep snow and how it keeps snowing and snowing and snowing. Oh my goodness. Have I napped my way through to winter??? What day is this? What month is this? What year is this? I felt like I was in a nightmare version of “back to the future.” I looked at my phone and it had 17% battery left. I looked at the episode and it was a year old. I realized I had watched all the episodes in between while I was sleeping. But I did report the fraudulent Facebook page repeatedly. Now I have to go back and watch the whole episode again. 😊 ~Kim

Those butter beans are the prettiest color. I wrote an Appalachian short story about a impoverished little girl stringing red beans together to make a necklace for Christmas for the student whose name she drew at school. Love the flowers, the nasturtiums, moss rose, and zinia are my favorite. The hummingbirds love the zinias. I planted 2 hibiscus under my kitchen window. This year, they were full of hummingbirds. I had much joy watching them as i did all that kitchen work of putting up. My family is from the kings mountain area and Griffen Ga. I now live on a homesstead in central ks. I wanted snow in the winter. Watching your videos brings me home. Your Appalachian accent is soothing to me. Thank you.

Done! I went through and systematically reported the page as well as each of the 56 individual (current) posts. Then I went back up and reported the page again, for good measure. As I reported each post, they were "hidden" so I couldn't go back, but part way through, I started Replying "Fraudulent Page! Please report to KZbin for Tipper and her family!" to each one before reporting it. I hope this helps. Keep being amazing!

Good morning from southern Indiana! This week so far we put up sweet pickles, salsa, and something new is a tomato jam. It only made a little but the plan is for bacon or egg breakfast sandwiches. It is sweet but not overly sweet and cooked down til no liquid is is present. Mighty tasty! Always fun to plan next year! We are going to try a rain barrel next year.

Thank you for the tour, Tipper! I learned so much the first year with a garden. I was a bit behind on getting paid by freelance clients, so didn't get my things transplanted out until late. I think the heat at that point just stunted everything-basically just 2 tomatoes per plant. The beds were pure cow compost, so I think the soil was good. We'll see! It was a learning experience and it's nice how us gardeners can enjoy it even if it was a little bit of a disappointing year in many areas.

Precious Tipper! I discovered your Chanel a few years ago. I like and subscribe however this is my first time commenting. I was born and raised in a small town by the river in Southern Ohio (Appalachian foothills) and now live in a small town near the ocean in Southern California. I watch your videos whenever I’m feeling nostalgic. Your soothing voice, familiar accent and way of life takes me back in time. Two years ago when I was undergoing aggressive treatment for breast cancer and missing my mom and grandparents (all departed) your videos brought me extra comfort (I prescribed myself a daily dose 😊). I made it through and am now in full remission 🙏! So thank you and your family for inadvertently being a part of my healing. I am so sorry about the imposter FB page. I just submitted an alert to FB and also left a negative review and fraud alert comment on the imposter’s page. Hopefully FB will take action and shut them down soon. You can pick the green nasturtium seeds and pickle them to make "poor man's capers." I tried it several years ago after seeing a KZbin video on it. Your garden is still beautiful. I left the bottoms of my celery in the ground to see if anything will still grow this fall or in the spring. Aunt Ruby's German Green Tomato did the best for me this year for tomatoes. Sad the season is ending already.

Haven’t been on in a while and I need to catch up. But oh those roses are gorgeous! With some health issues, I think my beans are on there last leg bc I couldn’t get the picking of the last bunch done. Got some blossoms, but also with the weather issues the pests have been so bad this year. Happy to see yours!

Your flowers are beautiful. The white low growing flower is Alyssum. It loves to grow on the boarders edge of rocks. Comes in pastel shades of purple as well.

I was reading something that I have yet to try. I read that when you first plant your tomatoes, you should throw a couple of egg shells and sprinkle some Epsom Salts down in the hole first. This will make strong plants a prevent blossom end rot. Also if you put your plants sidways in the hole when planting, that will put a lot of the stem under the soil making a larger root system and stronger plants. I am going to have to try that!
