HUGE hamster cage upgrade || vlog

Today I’m going to be upgrading Chais cage and adding in some new decor I bought from Getzoo

the enclosure looks amazing ...joining them together and creating more space for chai has worked out better than just using one .

Getzoo is the best. Costs me a million dollars and 11 cents to get it shipped to the US but worth every penny.

It feels like my hamster is the only hamster on the planet that doesn't like flax sprays. Unless i got a bad batch. I just got the large pawhut and there were splinters everywhere. Luckily i had sandpaper from a niteangel purchase.

Some definitely won’t like it as much as others :) Chai doesn’t seem to like the oat sprays. Also any bad reviews I seen about the Pawhut did say it was full of splinters! Thankfully I didn’t have any but I did give it a light sanding just to be sure 😊

What a fantastic upgrade for Chai, and congrats on figuring out how to re-focus him away from chewing! I wonder if he likes to burrow, could you make the bedding in one area even higher, like on the Living World side if you don't need to leave space for the wheel and stuff, would Chai like to have 18+" of bedding to burrow in? Or else, what happened to the dig box? Also I love all your multichamber hides, all similar but different! It looks amazing, having the space to give him so many great options 🤗

Thank you!! He's really loving the cage so far and has completely stopped chewing :) I'm currently waiting on a huge bag of spruce bedding to arrive because that's exactly what I would like to do! Basically the whole living world full of bedding and I'll hopefully be able to see him burrowing ☺️ I think he'll love it.

I did send a complaint to the seller on Amazon and they basically told me I could either return it or keep it and that I wasn’t getting even a part refund bc the correct measurements were listed. even though they were not 🥲 and I also couldn’t send it back bc Chai was so close to chewing through his cage 😭 So in the end i just had to make do with it and i ended up with an even bigger cage than i had expected :)

@@MartinGarrythat’s terrible customer service! You paid for the XL and got the small and they won’t compensate you. I’ve always had good success whenever I have an issue with something I’ve ordered from Amazon I’d I start a “ chat” with an agent. They’ve always been helpful. I hope you get some help with this issue.

@@MartinGarry sm! The only thing that annoys me are the platforms,because I had to remove them to add more bedding,and also the pull out tray is so annoying because i have 25 cm of bedding,so it was really just paying extra money for the tray,but I think that for the size it’s really affordable!

Yes I definitely agree the platforms were annoying! And I also done get the pull out tray bc if you were to use the amount of bedding to fit the tray it would be like nothing 😅

If your hamster seems happy then that's the main thing :) but do remember that the optimal amount of floor space for a hamster is 800+ sq inches so possibly aim for that in the future when / if you can ☺️
