The Imagination Station books are inspired by the Adventures in Odyssey Christian radio drama. Can't say enough good things about Adventures in Odyssey! It always encourages me in my faith while also being entertaining for my boys. It's become our tradition to listen to it during lunch and it's such a fun time together.

I grew up with Spanish being my first language but my siblings born after me did not learn to speak Spanish. My husband was never taught Spanish so it’s important we tech our children and hopefully continue learning together.

We love the Biggest Story series! We started with the ABC book when my son was two (he is now 6) and he started memorizing it because we read it so many times. We then bought the Biggest Story book, and my son loved it so much he asked for the audiobook, which is great for the car! :)

I was SO EXCITED for the activity books! I’ve been searching for and printing off printables for my 6 year old to do while I do science with my 4th and 6th graders. French for sure! My husband took 4 years in highschool and I have been using the Duolingo app and my kids are 10 & 6 loving picking up new phrases we are practicing together. My grandparents didn’t teach their kids Spanish out of fear that their kids would be discriminated against like they were. So my mom didn’t learn Spanish well into adulthood after having kids. I'd love to incorporate Spanish this coming year & learn along with my kids. ❤

Oh my gosh. My husband’s late grandfather spoke English with a super thick accent but refused to teach the kids Spanish for the same reason. I don’t know how they understood him to be honest. My husband has been learning Spanish for 8 years now and not fluent. He has to use HR to translate for him. We want the kids to hear Spanish because it is everywhere in Chicagoland.

@@lifewithginabI think that was how they assimilated in the states to be honest. I wish the new incomers were more like that mindset but not give up their mother language. My husband had to hire a hatian translate recently. (Creole). It was expensive and frustrating. In the states you should be able to speak your language but also learn the native languages.
