My family originally settled in the US from Germany (before WWII). Unfortunately fluency in the language has been lost in two generations. I would love to be able to teach our kiddos German, so that we can regain some of our cultural ties.

Unfortunately, I bought the French because of your video on the French box (I believe it was just a homeschool day video) Unfortunately, I was not able to get the physical box. They don't ship them to Canada anymore. I did buy the download and I am waiting for level 2 French and ASL . Those would be the language I would choose next. We start French level 1 in the 24/25 school year

The Imagination Station books are inspired by the Adventures in Odyssey Christian radio drama. Can't say enough good things about Adventures in Odyssey! It always encourages me in my faith while also being entertaining for my boys. It's become our tradition to listen to it during lunch and it's such a fun time together.

I like that Christian Books has a warehouse in Canada so we don't get charged duties and whatnot but don't you find the shipping cost still expensive? And all the books are in USD.

Hi :) great question! I've mentioned this before on my other videos... So it depends on what you get for sure... But I always order when they offer a 10% discount to helps with shipping costs. You have to sign up for their email list to get this. I definitely do some calculations before placing an order. So for example if I am buying curriculum... let's say explode the code... On amazon it's $30 Canadian + tax On Christian Book Explode the code is $10 USD + tax plus(which is $13.68 Canadian with the currency right now) plus I get the the 10% off discount code... now shipping depends on how much you spend (They have a chart on their website for shipping costs)... but if you do the math ... usually I am saving 15 to 20 bucks or more if I have the 10% off code... based on the things I have got. So it's definitely worth it for when I do the Math on my end. Shipping for $30 or less is about $7 USD but I usually spend around $50-100 so it's about 25% of order cost.... so the 10% makes it 15 % Hope this helps! My grandparents didn’t teach their kids Spanish out of fear that their kids would be discriminated against like they were. So my mom didn’t learn Spanish well into adulthood after having kids. I'd love to incorporate Spanish this coming year & learn along with my kids. ❤

Oh my gosh. My husband’s late grandfather spoke English with a super thick accent but refused to teach the kids Spanish for the same reason. I don’t know how they understood him to be honest. My husband has been learning Spanish for 8 years now and not fluent. He has to use HR to translate for him. We want the kids to hear Spanish because it is everywhere in Chicagoland.

@@lifewithginabI think that was how they assimilated in the states to be honest. I wish the new incomers were more like that mindset but not give up their mother language. My husband had to hire a hatian translate recently. (Creole). It was expensive and frustrating. In the states you should be able to speak your language but also learn the native languages.

Never heard of this company for languages. I would want to win Spanish, as I think right now this would be most beneficial as my kids grow up! We use The Good and the Beautiful for LA and Math, and have used them for science at times as well as history. Love them all, but we will be changing history and possibly science. Love the unit study concept for the whole family though!!! And the younger science books are so cute!!! I want them all....but will have to pick and choose as my youngest will be in K next year.
