Adding nothing else to them I could eat 2 of those sausages all by themselves in one sitting. I actually do that with "rope" sausage at least 1 day a month. I buy a rope sausage that's at least 44" long and cut it into 6" - 8" long pieces and pack them into a tupperware container that I lay flat to fill, so that when I stand the container up the sausage pieces are standing vertical as well. I throw the container in the freezer for a few days to guarantee that each sausage is completely frozen solid. I then cut out 2 - 3 pieces at a time using a knife pointed down between the pieces and cook them in a frying pan that has about 1" of water in it. I simply put 2 - 3 pieces of the meat into the pan, cover the meat almost all the way up with water, cover the pan with a tight fitting lid, and turn on the heat full blast. 5 minutes later I come back and turn each piece of meat over and let it cook some more for about 1 minute while covered. I then turn off the heat, take off the cover, and place the pieces of meat on a plate and eat them just like that. Cooked all the way through PIPING HOT, not charred in any way, VERY VERY juicy, and with no smoky residue in my kitchen.
