How is it in this glass-column today? Do you have more videos showing the evolution of algae and what you did with it? Have long wanted to do something like this here in the garden here on Hell, Norway. But this winter we had down to -25 ℃. So I do not see the opportunity to realize a project like this in the near future.
@rginfofound77487 жыл бұрын
Beautiful potential. If I may suggest a display that incorporates aquatic plants not typically allowed to get to their full length. This is a height that would allow submerged plants like milfoil for example to grow from bottom of pond to the top of the tank. The plants would oxygenate the tank and make a display similar to a kelp garden. Around the tank plants like cattails and aquatic iris would give additional vertical theme... Just a suggestion that I would love to do myself in a pond...

A little nerve wrecking to watch,but great team work and sense of humor.Hindsight is 20/20 I would use some powerful suction cups and probably would have glued the tank to the stand and let it cure for a day before droping it in the pond and more cushioning for the tank when sliding it in to the pond. Would that not overheat in the summer? Water is usually well insulated by having one exposed surface but now it’s basically like a water bottle sitting in the sun. Heat like that could kill the fish. Also with no ability to circulate the water wouldn’t it get mucky quickly. Especially at the top? To me this looks cooler than it is practical.

@ssss-df5qz7 жыл бұрын
Incredible to think that the top panel of glass is single handedly supporting the weight of all that water in the tank. Like the water is hanging from it.
@flightcomputer24376 жыл бұрын
That's not the case actually because he sucked all the air out thus the pressure is now equal at the top and bottom
@MCLuviin4 жыл бұрын
@@flightcomputer2437 thats not how physics works.
@flightcomputer24374 жыл бұрын
@@MCLuviin Then how does it work? The air pressure was keeping the water from filling the case I thought. When you suck out the air you are lowering the pressure so that it is filled with higher pressure water. I thought that's how suction worked. Am I wrong?

Vocês já fizeram o teste contra ventos fortes? Espero que sim, porque se não, esse aquário vai tombar e provavelmente virar pedacinhos 😉
