Just discovered your videos. We sadly lost our family cat 2 weeks ago and since he has passed we’ve been lost without a cat so we are now getting a new kitten in a weeks time and it’s amazing how new it all feels again. I have 2 of these cats only 5 months old both shorthair blue colour point and both girls, Misty and Skye, they are so adorable, I just want to pick them up all the time and hug them like little teddy bears, also so calm in nature.

She is adorable!!!! Thank you for the info! I had a Himalayan and blue tabby Persian. My blue tabby was 23years when he went to heaven. He was my soul kitty. I want to get another kitty but need to get a little more financially secure. Things are really tough in the US right now. It’s disastrous. The British short hair kitty is fabulously adorable! ❤

Really enjoyed the cat content! We have brother (Budda/ Bud) and sister (Bodecia/ Bo bo) silver spotted Brits, almost 6yrs old, they were our first cats, coming from a family of dog lovers it was all new to us, my only regret is not knowing cats sooner. They're calm, goofy and loyal, take everything individually their stride and very sociable with visitors. Only downside is the cat hair, one sheds a lot though its managble with regular brushing, and I use a Furminator once a week,a magic brush that gets out more hair than a normal brush, it's amazing just don't keep going over the same spot and you get balls of hair, which intern stops hair balls being a big problem. Only one of the two is a big shedder though, we have invested in sticky lint removers and a good pet vacuum. We also have the catit cabrio, I thought it would've broken by now being plastic, but because of its size its perfect for big cobby cats like the British short-hair. I haven't watched your channel for a while, I'm not sure why, but the last two videos have been lovely and honest so I've subscribed.

Such a good video for new cat owners. Completely agree that beds are not essential, all of mine have had their own beds but preferred sleeping either on the sofa/chairs or in a cardboard box (never met a cat who didn’t love a cardboard box! 😂) It looks like Gigi is settling in really well

She is so adorable Liza 😍 We have a British shorthair too 🎀 Child locks on the window are great for summer. We have them on every window now so that they cannot open enough for her to escape but enough to circulate when it’s warm. Our cat now loves to stick her little nose out the window gap and smell the fresh air it’s so cute x

She's so adorable and growing in confidence too. After 40 plus years of cats we're finally left with our last two - both originally strays. One of them is a BSH silver tabby who looks very similar to Gigi but sadly as she'd had some sort of trauma in her former life she's still impossible to do anything with even after 10 years. I'm so pleased you're grooming Gigi as a kitten as it gets them used to being handled - the only way I can try to brush mine is to give her biscuits as i do it however as she's totally deaf now she actually loves being hoovered so that collects some of it 🙂

You should get a water fountain cats love drinking from there and it’s more appealing to them since I have 3 none really drink from a bowl

You can cat proof your garden using Katzecure, for example. The TiggaTowers cat tree/scratching post products are built with the larger breeds in mind so are very robust and feature removeable washable covers so you can keep them clean and looking their best.

She’s beautiful She’s grown since you brought her home. Alfie our tuxedo cat has a microchip I don’t use collars as year ago one of my cats got caught on a branch lucky we were in the garden to free her I didn’t know about the calming spray Alfie gets so stressed going to vet he always has accidents in his carrier so I will look into that spray and the mats to put in bottom as he has a towel and vets usually send us home with another fresh towel if he messes on way there bless him, so thanks for the tips one is never to old to learn 😂 xxx

Shes amazing liza! What I will say is all the bowls and collars and stuff you’ve bought she doesn’t use donate to a local cat rescue because they’re overflowing with cats that need homes or have been surrendered and probably would appreciate those collars that Gigi won’t use xx

Gigi is adorable and growing so fast. We adopted a brother and sister from a rescue centre and our kittens will be 10 yrs old this year. Those little mouse toys with the feathers are still adored and played with most days, would like to get the feathers on the stick toy that came from the breeder as I know they will love that. The cats were named by my Daughter are Buttons and Princess. More cat content please. xx

Your kitten is gorgeous! My cat doesn't go out, he's quite content inside. To keep him safe we bought child limiters from ikea for our windows. They open wide enough for the fresh air to get but our cat is unable to get through the gap. Much cheaper than the other options.

Such a good video, giving is so cute. The funniest thing happened, when you shook the cat treat container and called giving my three cats came running over to my tablet and sat and waited for treats hahaha, so cute so I gave them some treats, they always make me laugh. Hi Liza I really enjoyed todays video the content was interesting to me as I’m a mad cat 🐱 lady lol I have 3 cats , Noah , Zoey & Teddy. Unfortunately I may not have my beautiful Noah for much longer as he is diagnosed with Cat FIV ( which basically is cat aids) and now is battling Lymphoma ( cat cancer ) he will be on steroids for the rest of his short life I am just trying to make him as comfortable as possible. All 3 of my cats are house cats. I suggest you read up on FIV and the other virus cat leukaemia both very unpleasant cat diseases but it is good that Gi Gi has not been exposed to stray cats and will be an indoor cat this should enhance a very long cat life. She is absolutely beautiful!! I fell in love with her and looking at all her belongings if you had to pack it all up it would fill a suitcase lol!! My house is exactly the same cat stuff galore. I just wanted to mention the jerky treat strips you said she tends to play with this , please don’t discourage Gi Gi from doing this she is hunting & preying on it then after the chase she will reap the rewards by eating her catch as she gets older she will like that game but for now she will enjoy hunting with her toys. I’m actually looking forward to the day you attempt to cut her nails as I just can’t seem to do this and end up having to take my 3 to the vets!! which is quite costly. Don’t worry about the water fountain, I’ve just bought my cats one for Xmas but only because I have to watch Noah’s fluid intake and I liked the idea of a water filter but absolutely non essential. I too bought the plastic anti vomit cat bowls from Amazon as they looked cute but threw them away as were a nuisance to clean and plastic can harbour bacteria when scratched. I much prefer the mason bowls which you can also purchase from pets at home & the Range. I also get a monthly subscription for worm & flea treatment from Pets at home but have recently cancelled it as with being indoor cats feel every other month will do instead of each month. But it’s all personal preference. One suggestion maybe try buy GI GI a lazer toy either mouse or freestanding toy ( Aldi have them at moment ) as do Amazon. B&M sell the mouse lazer toy. Look forward to more videos on GI Gi she is a star!! What an absolute lucky girl she is to have found such a beautiful kind family and home. My daughter has a Rag doll cat called Bonnie she is very lucky as well xx

My boy kitten Tiggy has been to be “chipped and snipped” today. The Vet told me he would be sleepy and a bit lethargic and to only give him a small amount of chicken for his tea. Unfortunately they didn’t tell Tiggy this! He has been racing around up and down the curtains and all over the house. He has eaten 2 bowls of chicken plus his normal tea and is currently in his crate for calm down time. I can hear him destroying everything in there. Oh dear!

Your kitty needs a fountain, because you feed her dry food. Otherwise she will not drink enough.
