Absolutely outstanding. True to the graphics, the builder has done an amazing job maintaining the theme and the integrity of the style throughout. What an excellent display and is so much more than generic 'city' layouts using the same old lego modulars... yawn yawn. This is such an incredible achievement.

I grew up in a house that used "cinder" blocks for its foundation. That was just what we all called the stuff. It wasn't until I did a construction job for like a year that my boss who was super knowledgeable in all things with home construction, one day said, "why do you keep calling that a cinder block?" Well, that's just what it is isn't it? He said no, that's just "block" It looks exactly like any other block or cinderblock but you notice that cinderblock actually has little black pieces mixed in it that are the "cinders" where as normal "block" is just a very uniformily grey concrete ... well block. And I feel like that's just the norm material used in modern stuff. Just regular old "block" and that if you're an 80's person you're kind of dating yourself if you always call it "cinderblock" lol

I also learned the trick of using a wet sponge to smooth out concrete to give it a nice finish. It kind of blew my mind cause I grew up seeing those little vent plates at the bottom foundation of a house and the concrete had like a little window shape to it with the vent in it. I just always assumed that it was molded somehow but, now it's just troughed by hand with a normal spade and then sponged over for a smooth uniform finish. All this time I just thought it was like somehow done with a special precise molding or tool or ...idk something that wasn't just hand made.

It's very cool, he clearly loves the game. Some inaccuracies (which I am sure are there for practical reasons): -The Traveling Cart is huge here compared to everything else. The Wizard's Tower is much too small. Actually, the Cart is the only building that seems in proportion to the Lego figurines. - The Carpenter's Shop and the things to the right of it should be farther back compared to the Community Centre. - The Beach is too small - Cindersap Forest is too small. But yeah, not much interesting going on there so good choice.

So, I've never really played the game beyond the first couple of minutes. Is this the full overworld map for the whole game, kinda like the one on A Link to the Past? It actually looks pretty small, about as big as one town from Earthbound or similar. But I imagine there's a lot of dungeons and other sub areas and such too.

It’s full map of Pelican town, which is pretty small if you get used to it. But we do have 2 other maps for players to explore, the desert and an Island.

There's also a quarry and 2 dungeons by the Adventurer's Guild, the train station above Linus's tent, the desert to the northwest with another store and dungeon, the secret woods past the traveling merchant, the sewers under the town, and another island you can visit later with yet another dungeon and farm.
