Don’t destroy what you have. If you are using this as your workshop brace the inside where the tree fell. Jack up the roof and then build a secure frame to hold it up. You can continue to use as a workshop and maybe later restore the damaged area. As I said don’t destroy something salvageable just like you did with the house and trailer.

That tree or another one might have fallen on your home during the upcoming hurricane. The entire family would have been in the house. It's a shame the workshop/trailer was damaged and caused extra work as you prep for an imminent hurricane but it's better than sitting in a hospital with injured family memberS - or worse. Mishaps happen. Your property did not flood during the last hurricane, a Total Bonus. I am grateful Eevee, Doug, Belle and Maverick are home, safe, together, uninjured and able to prepare for Hurricane Milton. Noone intentionally caused the tree to fall on the workshop/trailer. I admire Eevee and Doug's resilience. There's actually a long list of traits I admire about Eevee and Doug. I am so grateful for their channels. Such an awesome family!

Doug, I talked to a friend who repairs those types of trailers after accidents (vehicle and low clearance), he said to jack up the roof slowly using a post with a sheet of wood on top (it should pull the wall back in). If the metal is ripped/punctured you can just rivet a sheet of flashing on the inside. After you done that, he'll let me know how to straighten out the leaning walls.

Don't beat yourself up over this, Doug. I've been watching you guys for years through several property renos in multiple states. This is the first big mistake I've ever seen you make, and that's saying a lot since you are always trying new things and learning as you go. Give yourself some grace... at least it didn't fall on the house! I would think you'd be able to repair that at some point, anyway. You've done barns, workshops, garages, horse stalls, houses, chicken coops, mobile homes, trailers, cat houses, gazebos, busses ... and probably a few other things I've forgotten about. This is just one more thing to add to your growing list of "I've done that"! In the meantime maybe you can build a support brace on the inside, move it to a back part of the property, throw a tarp over it, and use it for storage until you have time to work on it.

Remove the box and you will have a very nice 24 foot flat bed utility trailer. Add some low side rails. Would be useful for larger runs to the big bix store as well as moving your tractor to the other property. Turn the sheet aluminum into your local metal recycler. Aluminum scrap pays fairly well.

A shipping container would be a quick and inexpensive remedy for a replacement. Those things are built like tanks and have so many options for making it into a great roomy workshop. They have only certain ones that was used for hazardous materials and all the rest were used for everything else and sellers must disclose the history of them. I use to haul them into and out of the shipping yards back during my trucking career. I'm thinking of buying one myself for storage.

I'm so sorry that happened to you guys. I hope you had it covered with insurance either thru your vehicle policy or your homeowners policy. Maybe take that money and build your Garage/workshop? You can never be sure where a tree will fall. It might go the way you want or it can spin , or break off or completely go backwards. I'm just glad you all are safe and no one was hurt. Things can be replaced they are material objects, you can't be. I know financially it was a huge loss. That's why I feel so bad for you.

At least it did not fall on the house. The trees needed to come down and it looks like the workshop saved that one from hitting your house. Taking down trees can be unpredictable - even the people who have been doing it for years encounter trees that don’t fall as they planned. I was watching GP Outdoors from Canada and he had issues with a couple trees in his last update. It happens at least you and the family are OK. I hope the storm does not impact you but it looks like Florida is in the path again. Be safe and hope you get power restored soon.

Have you considered buying a shipping container for a temporary shop storage? Seems like a pretty economical way to get some very sturdy storage. I'd think about taking the shell off that trailer and make your self a nice little flat bed trailer. Maybe put some rails on to haul stuff around the property. You could even do your own dump hauls instead of hiring out dumpsters. Just thoughts.

Might be worth getting a shipping container or two delivered… you can build it up on piers like you did with the house and then you have a more permanent workshop space that’s a bit more robust than the trailer. Some of them in semi rough condition seem to get sold off at a fair price. As for the current trailer, maybe try a jack to support the middle using some of the wood and bend it back into shape a bit or sell it as is to someone rather than spending time/money trying to sort it out yourself. I realise you’d lose some money on it from what you paid but it’s probably still gonna be a better option. Also if you guys have no power at the house, is the mobile home in the same boat? Hope you are all safe as sounds like things are going to get worse there before they get better weather wise

However, had the trailer had not been there, the tree could have damaged your home, especially after seeing how some of them explode apart when hitting the ground, branches could have gone through the walls or windows of your home and that would have been so much worse.
