There's a point where they start to lose. And we've reached that. I've had two roofs in two weeks, 3 totalled cars including a 40k Cherokee and an agreed upon 20k camaro. They're starting to get sick of it.

Hail hurts doesn't it? Those "big" stones in Manitoulin was nothing. I drove right into the middle of that storm in our Outback Legacy. Right before the storm the drivers side window wouldn't go up for anything(warning #1) Then when I got the intersection of Powers and Fontaine where I could go north or south to the freeway, a little voice said, " Take Powers north." I said, "No, I'll be late for my appointment. I'll just get a little wet. " So at about 2:30 pm on Mon. August 6th I went south down Mesa Ridge Parkway smack in the middle of the worst hail storm I've seen in my life with an open drivers side window. I got just past Syracuse and all hail broke loose. I got pummeled through the open window by hail between baseball and golf ball sized. Two very large ones hit my left elbow rendering it useless. I thought it was broken for sure. Fortunately it was well padded as were the other places I was hit. I counted 6 bruises other than my left arm which turned into one huge bruise from just above my elbow all the way to my wrist. I still have a knot on my elbow and a couple of visible bruises.

10 weeks later and still in a hotel while house gets repaired. All new windows, gutters, house repainted inside and out, insulation, drywall, roofing shingles all the down to new plywood. It's obvious you're new to Colorado. Despite all the sensationalism, this is actually pretty typical weather. We get hail storms every year - the hail season here runs from April to Sept (the rest of the year is snow season). There have been far worst storms in the past.
