I love to fish. Being disabled, it's one thing I'm glad I can still do. I have no idea what I would do if I ever hooked a big one like that. I release every fish I catch. Other than worms, and maybe minnows, I just don't like the idea of killing anything anymore. Used to hunt, but not anymore.

Actually im right handed but always have used left handed reels because it feels more natural for me to make a cast and as soon the bait touch the water im ready to crank and I fish upriver so is an advantage to cast that way in fast current water when the hand change thing that the bast majority of fisherman do when you change hand the lure is closer to you so you have loose a couple of meters when you start to crank

That is one large pure channel catfish! Many people don't know catfish will hit an artificial lure; try a crawfish crankbait in August and September around rocks, clay banks, and channels like this one. Love this video man!

@jondonwayne wayne our waters have a type of catfish with verry long tail and when they are hooked they hang with the tail of every stone or obstacole they find . If there is no obstacle they stick the tail in to the mud. Every catfish have that feature to get hidden in the caves, they live in caves and holes.

Hey, man! Idk if you already heave a video about it but could you do a little tutorial on how to manage and efficiently cast your baitcaster? I use mostly spinner reels but I wanted to get into a different type of reel and I am struggling to say the least. And your casts are so smooth, man.

It took me awhile to get use to a bait caster. When you cast your spool turns and if you don’t pay attention your gonna get a lot of nests in your line. I would say watch a lot of tutorials on KZbin because when I first started I was spending a lot of time looking like a dumbass in front of everyone while untangling my line. Bait casters are a hell of a good time once you get the hang of them though. I would recommend them.

It's accurate at a short range but if I'm trying to get a ways out from my boat or the bank I end up slinging it to the right or the left and my spool unwinds and tangles everything up. I'm kind of ready to give up.

There’s a pond near me that’s full of giant channel catfish. All 4+ pounds. Fish 6+ are common.

Kastking makes some good products.. I have 4 of them and I fish 10-12 tournaments a year and they are just as reliable as my other “top of the line” reels. I have not tried the rods yet.. but I notice that is a kastking rod too.. is that the speed demon? I use all favorite rods right now.. they are great as well check them out..
