What do you think of Haydn's 1793 cylinder organ Everything seems to be tuned individually by hand and so may be even more consistent than piano rolls -especially before the 1920s-.

This is a reed organ unlike the 1793 Haydn organ clock which is quite special. This has pipes in which the tuning is more or less permanent and can be adjusted individually. Music boxes have reed organs, each pair in the reed block can slightly change their tuning depending on the quality of the metal used. Nevertheless, the tuning on this one is quite good. Piano rolls do not need tuning - its just a piano which can be tuned perfectly, see my other videos.
