Everything shown in this video is linked in the description box! Enjoy meeting Mr Dale :) PS I’m also well aware that Mice are social animals and should be in groups like rats. In this case, Dale is over a year old and has been alone his whole life since being separated from his brother for literally tearing his eye out. Non of the exotics vets near me do mice neuters and I’m not going to put him through a stressful surgery because of his age. Males can NOT be housed together and will fight. So it’s not happening.

I think it's great how you're taking care of that little guy, he's really sweet! Just wanted to say that these drinking bottles are actually not that great for rodents, as they can harm their teeth. A regular water bowl would be better. I used realtively heavy ceramic ones for my mice and degus, so they would not be able to flip them over. Just wanted to point that out in case you didn't know, as you clearly care a lot about your pets!
@LOL-rf5zy3 жыл бұрын
Actually thy don’t hurt there teeth they can easily spill water in a water dish
@epicboi79443 жыл бұрын
actually, they do not hurt their teeth at all. I still personally prefer water bowls, but I have used water bottles and they are perfectly fine! Please do not comment about bad care if you havent researched about it.
@petpalace44423 жыл бұрын
I don’t really know if that’s true but personally my hamster refused to drink out of a water bowl but as soon I replaced it with a water bottle she immediately started drinking from it.

Congratulations! He is adorable. I have had many male mice, and they are wonderful pets. I have found that they love love love bird toys - like the paper pinatas, or anything they can safely shred. I also make little ”present boxes” out of toilet paper tubes (i just fold the ends closed), which I fill with treats. They love to work at opening them up and finding out what is inside. ❤️🐭

You should add alot more stuff on the floor space mice LOVE clutter the more toys and hides the better. The less open space there is the better, he needs more enrichment mice are very intelligent and curious animals and are always using their brain he needs more things like foraging toys and things to chew etc. Best of luck :))

Hi !! I love you videos btw , and it’s so kind of you to take the little sweetheart ok so quickly while being so unexpected! xx just a little tip and mice can be such ungrateful little buggers 😂🤍 if you ever have any empty cereal boxes or Amazon boxes you can make them fun by stuffing tissue in it for him to rip up and hide for treats and his food in them and cut holes in the boxes and stuff toilet rolls in it and he will be more than happy with it!! X I bought my group of girls a new hammock a while ago and I also put the box in and made it fun and they were all over the box taking no one but of interest in the hammock 😂🙄 xx 🤍🤍 I love you animal videos so much I have loads of piggies too I have to say they are addictive and I can’t wait to see the upcoming video of the little piggy you were picking up xx 🤍

Bar chewing is not a good thing. As you could see on his previous cage there was ALOT of discoloration on the bars which is from chewing. Chewing and wanting to get out 24/7 is a sign there unhappy. Not trying to be rude or anything!❤️ I own 5 mice 🐭 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the brand Nietnagel I also love the rope and bridges. He’s adorable tho! Also it’s alright that you have him alone male mice are actually ok being kept alone, but if you do end up owning a female most definitely get 1-3 more females or neutered males ❤️🐭

I didn’t know if you already knew this or not but just to make sure the flying saucer you have is way to small and can cause him back problems. I had a hamster and in her enclosure I put bendable bridges like the ones you put in the enclosure and she got her foot stuck in it which isn’t good and I saw a youtuber, Victoria Racheal, had a similar incident and she recommended filling the little gaps with moss ( and gluing it with Elmer’s glue) so they can’t get hurt. Im talking about the ones on the ground not the hanging ones. I’m not sure if would be the same for a mouse ( like if they are the same size) but just wanted to tell you jut incase. Also Dale is very cute 🥰

you should probably add more bedding (the tray at the bottom is too small for the ammount of bedding needed) you can make hammocks and rope out of felt and paperclips. scatter feeding is also more ideal for mice since they like to search for food and they also soil the food bowl pretty quickly
@Gen-gi4db3 жыл бұрын

I would recommend putting the food bowl on a platform because I thought my mice were eating alot but they were just emptying there food into the bedding and the food fell all he way to the bottom but as soon as I put there food on a wooden platform I saw all of the food was actually just being tipped out its just a suggestion because it helped me a little when I was cleaning there cages also it stopped the bedding from smelling as bad
