I would suggest using the Mousse Def for setting the hair for twistouts, braidouts, or rods set. I love it for that, I personally agree its not heavy enough for wash-n-gos-----it did not deliver for me either, BUT my twistouts are on a whole other level and I absolutely love it for that and its honestly one of my favorite products. Also, I know they stress to not use a leave in but unless your using their shampoo and conditioner which are super moisturizing and formulated to work with their styling products I would use a liquid base leave-in that's moisturizing and contains little to no oils.

Design Essentials Natural's MOISTURIZING DETANGLING SULFATE FREE SHAMPOO changed my hair. I've been wearing wash and gos for almost a month thanks to them. I tried the doux and I had such high hopes and I love the bottle design, the name and the founders story. But the stylers (texture cream and the mousse) just did not work in my hair. I used them together which you aren’t supposed to do. I used them separately and it was still a no for me. They are the brand I’m still routing for even if I won’t be using their products.
