Awesome channel and videos..Crazy how they nock you on them black lambs here in USA I have some ehtnics that will buy the Black one's firsts off the farm and pay exact market values..I agree sell 100 % intact male's at 40 to 60 lbs alot of mine go to the bbq market or diffent ehtnic holidays some of mine go back out to people's grass who chose to harvest a bigger lamb..I have mainly all commerical dorpers and a few x breed's miss fits like you say lol ..the black ewe lamb's put back with the dorper ram 90% mine will look like the dorper the next time tho on the 3/4 dorper blood 1/4 ? mark lambs out of the black females put back under a dorper ram ..

Can you run all of your "natural colors" as a single lot. That should help with the price of the majority anyway. We raise Katahdins here. Fortunately our US markets now are getting much more friendly with our multicolored hair sheep.

Lamb trade not great here in Ni either but if they are ready they need to go to free up grazing land for the ewes maybe this year will be better chin up 👍

We’ve found that the scruffy lambs have sold better direct to slaughter than the smart lambs have at market, 44 kilo lambs to £107 where as the smarter 45kg plus have been just over £100 at market, is there a local abattoir near you?

I know it is a different country. But here in the states we don't castrate like you guys. Sell a lot of ram lambs . Like always great content.

In my area in the US you get about half the price for intact lambs, long tails or horns.
