ro be fair, multiple people might send a resquest for the same monster and they just file the quest from the last request made. Another possibility is that while the request itself is dumb, the guild might have evaluated the request and deemed it as necessary because the monster very close to causing touble. Ik this all sounds like headcanon but here is the thing, requests are rarely writen by the guild itself and we dont get much info on why the guild allowed such hunt to begin with, resquest are made by villagers who dont really know much but each request is analysed by reseachers and have observation teams to deem if its necessary and sometimes the reasons of the guild match the dumb requests, or the expeditions to observe these monster on dumb requests do reveal something that is deemed hunt worthy but since we never see the guild itself on the job, we hunter only have the perspective of those who request hunts.

I mean seriously; who wants to get Titles, Gestures, and Stickers in Master Rank?! Not me!! I would much rather get them now in Low/High Rank... save the best for last... add a few gems along the way (like the Super Apex quests and the One-Shot Monke) but save most of it for Master Rank

I genuinely had no clue how I managed it as Apex Rathian is one of my least favourite Apex to fight (second to Apex Zinogre)

While I do think the sonic layered armor set for the hunter is cool, I think Capcom missed an opportunity. They should have given the male hunter a knuckles or Shadow the hedgehog armor set, while giving the female hunter an amy or Rogue the bat armor set. I just feel like this would have been more fitting, but oh well. This event quest week looks really spicy, so I feel it's about time I end my break from Rise.

Here's my build for the Apex Rathian which hits like a truck for anyone who is struggling with this quest: Weapon: Narga GS - 1 x expert jewel Head: Valstrax with 1 × crit boost and 1 x stun resist Chest: Kaiser (Teo) with 1 x stun resist. Arm: Valstrax with 1 x crit boost Waist: Kaiser (Teo) with 1 x crit boost Legs: Kaiser (Teo) with 1 x stun resist Talisman: 2 x divine blessing; 2 x recovery speed with 3, 2 and 1 slot using 1 x divine blessing, 1 x critical eyes jewel and 1 x recovery speed jewel. Just soloed this with zero carts. Bomber Palico and Palamute both with KO King enabled. Grab the spiritbirds and only commit to rage slash if you are at least 80% full health.

The emergency Apex Rathian was a lot of fun... SOLO. I can imagine doing that quest with randoms is pain. I love taunting monsters by carving their tails right in their face as soon as I cut them just to test fate XD. My friends always tell me one of these days it will be the death of me but I've been playing mh for two years and never carted from carving in battle that I know of. So yea I dared to carve this Apex Rathian's tail right in front of her, she tried to breathe fire at me, and would have hit me except no fire came out LOL This really was a fun week for Rise, enjoyed it a lot :D

Just wanted to add that the ring collecting mission also allows you to earn trinkets for your room. You unlock a Tails figure if you earn B Rank, a Knuckles figure for A Rank, and a Sonic figure for S Rank. Nothing for S+ Rank though.

i have no idea what the reward is 4 S+ i keep getting S and only missing the fastest timer benchmark by a few seconds. it's irritating. no it's because nargacuga reminds him of the other 1, obviously. the 1 who had a very hated spin off that had ok ideas but ya it wasn't 2 great. the hunter armor is so awkward, u have the outfit and in many cases it's that outfit but with a kilt from your normal set because it doesn't have a weird slot.

Rise had more content in the beginning, the problem was that World took it's time and Rise blasted through it veeeery quick. mainly a difficulty problem and odd quest managements. like if you wanted, you could just beam blast through all the key quest and reach rajang (which was considered one of the most iconic power walls all hunters had faced) and farm him with ease

Basically they release the new title and then they release the G rank version (aka the hard mode). Monster hunter 3 became Monster Hunter 3 ultimate (same thing as MH4) Generations became Generations Ultimate Monster Hunter World became Monster World: Iceborne and now we Monster Hunter Rise will become Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. this is something they've been doing a looong time ago. Rise being the most easy going of the bunch (world was easy but not this easy)

NGL, as much as I am happy that this week is full of stuff, I was hopin the Sonic collab was going to be something like what World did with Final Fantasy and make a mini storyline. One where Sonic, Tails, and Egg-for-brains- I mean Eggman are transported into Monster Hunter by a portal of some kind caused by one of Tails' or Eggman's inventions. I even came up with an idea for how the plot would go. *WARNING: THIS CAN GO INTO FAN-FICTION TERRITORY. ALSO, AS I WRITE IT, THERE ARE SOME NOTICABLE PROBLEMS WITH IT:* It would start with Sonic falling from the sky face-first, AKA how almost every pre-Colors 3D Sonic games starts, into Kamura. After the expected meetings (along with mistaking Sonic for some mutant Felyne), Utsushi comes in reporting of a rather rowdy Mizitsune in the Shrine Ruins, which is weird since the Rampage is over. Upon accepting the quest to hunt that Mizitsune. However, upon reaching the Mizitsune, we discover WHY the Mizitsune is going cuckoo: He's keeping Tails the fox "hostage." Because the monster mistakes Tails for something. YOU CAN PROBABLY FILL IN THE BLANKS AND FIGURE OUT WHAT THAT SOMETHING IS. So, after hunting (and preferably slaying) the creep Mizitsune before it can conduct rather...horrible and illegal things upon the fuzzy child, we escort Tails back to Kamura. At Kamura, Sonic and Tails reunite and Tails reveals that the device used to send them here is totally broken and needs spare parts. We're then interrupted with Utsushi reporting that now an ALMUDRON is causing a ruckus. After hunting that Almudron, Tails discovers that the Almudron materials and parts are capable of making complex metal and machinery. Upon that discovery, we come to the conclusion that it can be possible to repair it with MONSTER parts, and so, a monster scavenger hunt begins. Such parts are found in a Volvidon, Khezu, Nargacuga, and Rajang. During these quests, Sonic and Tails come along as special unique Buddies. These quests lead to a lot of quirky interactions and reactions from Sonic and Tails commenting on the monsters we have to encounter. Each quest would have a main gag involved; For the Volvidon, Sonic would heavily mistake ther monster for Knuckles also being transported here, but ending up EXTREMELY mutated. For the Khezu, Sonic and Tails would be mortified and disgusted by Khezu's...general existence. For the Nargacuga...well, it'd be like the Nargacuga quest in the collab we got: Sonic mistaking the Narga for Shadow. And lastly, for the Rajang, it would involve Sonic often mentioning that Rajang is just being a copycat of him, what with the golden super mode, rolling ball attack and really quick speed. Meanwhile, Tails, and Sonic the rest of the time, being scared for their lives of the pure brutality and raw power of the electric super simian. After gathering all of the necessary materials, Utsushi AGAIN reports, but this time of a strange Bazelgeuse. When we encounter the Bazel, we notice that it's covered in machine stuff, and as if on que, Eggman drops in, revealing that he had ALSO been following the group's shopping list. However, instead of using the materials to make his own way back home, he figured he'd let us fix the portal device and just steal it. And as for the cyborg Bazel, Eggman took the remaining monster parts we left behind on the quests (including some extra Almudron bits) to create the Bazel's enhancements. This was done so Eggman can take his newly-dubbed "Egg-geuse" home with him and cause havoc, all the while leaving Sonic and Tails stranded in the Monster Hunter world. So, after slaying this "new" monster, the "Egg-geuse," with Sonic and Tails alongside us, Eggman is launched over the horizon, defeated. With the device finally fixed and Eggman foiled yet again, we say our good-byes to Sonic and Tails as they leave through the portal back to their home. As for Eggman, however, he's a bit busy with a Kula-Ya-Ku, which mistakes him for an egg and starts pecking him on the head. (Don't worry, not only is this collab not canon, but Eggman got home after Sonic Generations, which ended with him and his past self stuck in a void devoid of time and space. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to return home from the world of Monster Hunter somehow.) This took me a while to write. P.S. Don't worry, the Mizitsune didn't do anything to Tails before we encountered it. Our little brainiac fox boy is totally ok...Just a little traumatized after he discovers WHY the Mizitsune was so aggressive. P.P.S. If the Tails and Mizitsune gag was offensive and/or sensitive, I am deeply sorry. What the gag was getting at is a serious and real problem in life that realistically is no laughing matter. I can't imagine what it's like for that to happen to someone, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.

I am really hating these event quests with Apexs that hit like trains with damn near endless hp. This is just lazy and frustrating. I would rather they just make the other non-apexs into Apexs instead. But I know we not getting any new monsters until the new expansion.

I hardly see how deal bigger number is anything bar artificial difficulty so if you can beat a normal Apex rathian, you can beat the uber apex rathian. But I certainly agree the older games made my brain jot up a bit more regarding their difficulty and my need to focus.
