Today we use the new Hotels and Retreats DLC combined with some updates to the Shopping Malls CCP to build a beautiful out of town shopping mall to satisfy the demands of the Budget Hotel!

“Mallitude” is probably too on the nose, but I like it. I love using the service point as a loading dock. Gives the store a proper loading area, and conceals the service point. I will have to remember that.

I liked the food truck eating area and it made me think of a cool idea for a festival area to have a food truck competition or something lol like gordo and some other food judges rate the different food trucks across Solitude. A silly idea to be sure lol, I really like how the build turned out

Wonderful build! I think for the hotels, they may need to be “zoned office” and “zoned commercial” for the asset to register. Not so much plopped items. Hopefully that may help but I’m not sure.

no it doesnt need to be zoned.. the range on the needs however is VERY short, so everything needs to be superclose.. i hope the Devs change it cuz it makes it very hard to look interesting.

Heh, give FewCandy some new stuff to build with, and like a true woman of great esteem she of course builds a shopping center 😋( just a bif of fun people ) And I must say, can't wait to get my upgrades in my 11 year old computer this weekend so I can start playing some more again. Going from 8GB ram to 32GB and gotten a dedicated SSD for games instead of the mechanical drive

Nice! Selectively zoning is the best way to make high density look ok, and go really slow!

Welcome to "Shopitude" I love to see this area built to the needs of a new hotel, nice change to the many videos, in which creators just level up to 5* as quickly as possible. Very nice! Fewcandy not wasting ANY time on all that shiny new DLC. It seemed odd that the first set of offices didn't affect the hotel's ratings for that category. To me, it seemed like they should have since were reasonably close to the hotel. It makes me wonder exactly how the game decides what is going to affect a rating? If it's all about proximity to the hotel then there should be a way to see a radius around the hotel that shows anything build inside the area will affect the hotels ratings (I hope I'm explaining this in a way that makes sense.)

This looks so good! The way you angled the roads feels so realistic and adds so much more life to the area. And using the pedestrian roads in the middle was such a great idea. Every new build brings Solitude higher up my list of fictional places that I would love to visit!

All of the new hotels all seem to have a VERY short range on their needs, so the office an commercial building etc all need to be VERY close. hope they patch it so the range is bigger because this makes it really hard to detail and have it look nice if everything is jam-packed together

8th like, 33rd view, and defo 1st to fall asleep (not bored, tired. Early start after a late finish yesterday) resulting in an extra view 😁 and a late comment. Awesome build, really like the service point placement it feels somehow more fitting. Them new little parks are a godsend for vanilla and fun to play with in modded game. I assume residential development comes next seeing all the shops screaming because of short staff... I feel I'm gonna like to play with hotels, they make more sense then the financial stuff.

Hi, I enjoyed this video. Liked your little food truck area. one little nitpick though is that you detailed your retail stores as if they are warehouses. No big box retail would have that many containers or boxes sitting outside, with the only possible exception if they are remodeling or starting a new store. There would be very few if any actually as it would not create a good look for the store. And especially not stacked containers. There is no crane to remove the stacked containers. and a forklift sure wouldn't cut it. The most you'd see behind a grocery especially would be stacked pallets, a few semi trailers, and a garbage bin. Anything more would most likely fail health / safety inspections. other than that, you have made me think about buying this new hotels DLC. Wasn't going to since i already have many hotels and such already from the workshop. but I like some of the assets i saw. I just hope this update didnt break my last game ive been working on as it usualy does.
