7:11 So I did some testing with this 1. Constantine's invul is preserved if its up alongside illusion so it have lower prio which is great design 2.He makes solemn defense stackable when it interacts with aoko and kuku's passive

Still kinda awkward because of 1t 100% defence. I mean, 100% defence is almost like invil, and after np you loosing that one stack of invil first and then you taking advantage of 100% defence. It would be greater if that stack of invil would be more like delayed stack, so you would take full advantage of 100% defence for 1 turn and then would take advantage of that 1 stack of invil for 3 later turns

Constantine feels like the Jeanne of buster cards now. You use him if you want the consistent defense offered by his NP (where normally Buster's only real defensive effect is one use of Illusion on Merlin). His actual damage buffing is huge in combination with his second skill, and he has a lot of star gen on his kit, so I see him being really viable for longer fights.

The problem is, Buster is still not very good at prolonged fights. You can maybe use his NP once every 5-6 turns. And the biggest problem is, his NP kind of has anti-synergy with itself. The 100% Def up doesn't do much anymore when you can already invuln one AoE NP. And if you're tanking multiple NP's because of the defense, then the Invuln hit was consumed for nothing anyway. WITH this upgrade he's maybe B tier now, idk what Myst was smoking when he put him in B+ before.

@@Jack_Rakan It's not anti-synergy, it's just a bonus. His NP can tank attacks that have pierce invul but can't get through the defense, or defense ignore that can't get through the invul. The invul is also only one hit, so you're still getting the the defense bonus for the following face cards if it's an AoE attack. I don't really see why Buster would be bad at prolonged fights, Merlin's NP is specifically good for longer fights and Buster cards have naturally high damage, so they're not bad even outside of the downtime of having your buffs up. Plus, this NP specifically counters that, since you're capable of getting damage buffs even without skill cooldowns. Constantine's gains seem fine to me tbh, he's got a personal battery and a big NP gain buff for one turn.

Not really, jeanne is actually pretty helpful for repeatable content. She has 50% def down and 20% charge so she is actually of real help for Ordeal 1T and Raids(the 20% arts is there but using her with oberon and a buster stacks the buffs better) He is kinda of locked to CQs.

@@GS_CCC I don't see why Constantine wouldn't also be useful for 1T/Raid situations considering the amount of damage buffing he provides, unless you really really need the extra battery (and a lot of times you probably don't.) Across his entire kit he'd be giving 50% buster up, 20% NP damage and 20% attack up, which scales especially well with someone like Oberon.

@@flatsnark2516 the problem is that a big portion of the buffs are locked behind the NP and he only has 30% charge. So even after Oberon's aoe charge + append he needs an extra 30% charge to reach 100%. The buffs give him the values he needs but not the charge to use it. He already had 20% buster and atk that was usable but way to low, but now with an extra 30-50% buster and 40% np dmg(doubled) he would be great if had the charge to be used. He really needs to have charge for himself to reach NP or for the team to compensate getting the 50% from oberon to use NP. Right now he can be used at max power with like soujuurou or if you pick plug in exchange of losing the 50% np dmg 2x that 2004 or capitain chaldeas would provide.

Amazing buff for Constantinos. He was never really bad, just quite niche, as in most situations there would be better Servants than him; but now with this buff he is really a very powerful option for Buster supports, specially Roman ones. On total, on NP1 he is giving 90% of steroids, from varied sources which stack greatly, 30 - 50% Buster Up; 20% NP Damage Up; 20% ATK Up; and another 20% Buster Up, on top of 30% Critical Damage for Roman allies. That is A LOT of steroids, and he has a relatively good NP Gain, enough to use this NP with some consistency. And that is only talking of his aggressive side. Defensively, he is also an amazing choice, perhaps the best one for Buster, as he can act like a weaker Arthuria Caster, in the way that he can with some ease allow a party to survive enemy's NP, even if they have Invulnerability Pierce. His only main weakness is that he has no consistent way of charging someone's NP Gauge whatsoever, having to die before he can charge 30% for someone, but even so, for critical damage dealers that can do huge damages with their cards, like Romulus, he is definitively one of the best options to slot. It's simply too many buffs of different types stacked on top of each other, as well as star generation and bomb to give the means to do the critical hits.

Buster now has a defender support on top of a healer increasing their survivability for dragged out fights, getting them together with arts in owning a tank and a healer. Quick still in shambles 😂, do correct me if I'm wrong cause it would be lovely.

oh my god a constantine buff! well it's not making his first skill's taunt last 3 turns for easier esportsing with his 3rd skill but that doesnt make it any less awesome. his NP buster buff being teamwide makes him a much more effective support (instead of him trying to go for the glory on his lonesome), and the addition of NP damage up is a nice snack too. the fact that his invuln stacks with other invulns (and lasts more than one turn! huzzah!) is interesting, and i dont think we have anything else like it in the game? im too lazy to comb through the wiki to know if that gut instinct is right. overall, as someone who was actually mentally deranged enough to grab him, im pretty happy with these changes. doesnt fix any of his other problems (which are really problems with GO's game design in general) but it does make him look like an actual option instead of a bad joke. on a side note his defensive buffs being so self redundant used to rub me the wrong way, but ive turned around somewhat on it. 100% defense is basically invuln by another name (remember galatea? her 2 hit, 100% defense buff makes her take 0 damage. as a ZERK) and thus ignore invuln doesnt work on it. and a LOT of bosses these days loooove their ignore invuln (especially boxed so you cant purge it booo >:( ); ignore defense, on the other hand, is a lot rarer. a boss having both is basically unheard of (again, too lazy to wikitrawl, do my work for me pls xD)

I rolled for Constantine and managed to get NP2, he’s honestly served me very well even at just 5/5/5 skills, so I’m actually kinda surprised to hear people actually thought he was that bad, I always just considered him kind of niche more than anything, but I’m definitely stoked to see this upgrade he’s getting, same for Don Quixote, I didn’t have any particularly strong feelings about him until I played Traum, at which point he really grew on me to the point I rolled for him and was lucky enough to get 2 copies of him as well, and I’m even planning on grailing him at some point!

While Constantine's NP is now better, it's not on demand in the same way a skill is. So it's still less flexible just like Osakabehime (NP) vs Koyanskaya (SKILLS) as Buster supports. He at least needs an NP Overcharge on either one of his skill or NP. If it's on his NP he will then feel like Morgan or Himiko with their Overcharge mechanic. But his version would be more interesting if it made into a 3 Levels Overcharge on a skill as opposed to the usual 2 Levels Overcharge.

Constantine works best with Merlin out of the meta Buster supports since Oberon kinda shafts your team with his S2 and S3. I can see a world where you can use them both in a team but it would be weird and probably worse than using Oberon in a typical 3 turn setup.

What if you used Don as an intermediate support with double koyan and a dps? ( dps with a 50% CE, Don, Koyan 1, plugsuit in Koyan 2 ) that way the dps should get 60% with two steps of over charge, and 60 stars if they can absorb it, all against a super giant enemy. (Granted, if you're a sadist and gets a kick out of wasting Koyan's 1st skill )

Seeing how significant Don's buff was, I was bracing myself for the reaction to Constantine's buff in fear of a so-so buff but colour me surprised that it was also very good! Now I hope some of the Constantine haters will get their heads out of their asses since one of his greater weaknesses was adressed, his np now supports the party offensively as well. His own dps was never that bad in terms of numbers honestly, it's just that the uptime was not good which seemed exacerbated by a non-damaging np that only gave buster up to himself. His first skill also basically gave him his np for free if you could crit with his arts card but again, cooldown problems. You gotta realise though, he would not get his np that easily from his 1st skill if his base np gain was not good, which is in fact good! An arts crit still does a lot towards getting another np, the problem I think players have with him there is ease of use. When you build a buster team, you typically want to end the fight as soon as possible because the best buster supports, looking at Koyan Light, provide no defense whatsoever, just the dps buster criting and using their skills again. The only exception being Merlin, who let's be honest, these days he is only brought when you cannot find a way to end a fight early enough before you lose. An anomaly among buster supports nowadays when his characteristic towards them is only his buster up. Look no further than Proto Merlin being a reskin of his now with an arts up instead and yet they make so much more sense in an arts team. You can find more details in his Merlin's section of Myst's Caster tier list. Aaaanyway, in a buster team you just want to buster crit and np with your dps till the enemy's dead. With Constantine in the equation, you were planning for the fight to be prolongued so you'd have to build your team differently, if you were gonna np with him you'd figure you'd do it more than once, so the problem would turn up that you'd have to use his cards but they only really do damage half the time. It just would not feel good to have to split the card damage between him and the main dps, we're spoiled by most modern support servants being able to np for free via raw battery or ridiculous np gain, foremost Castoria and Reines coming to mind. For a long time, players would think Skadi np was useless when no, it's very good offensively as well as having some defence, it's just that getting her np was considered a chore with no self battery even though her np gain is very good. And remember that she would mostly be in quick teams, where stars would be prevalent so getting her arts crits be would be easier. Constantine's been suffering from a similar problem in a card archetype where crits are less consistent on top of not being perceived as not so simple to use. I really hope that this buff will make it so he will see much more play instead of being trashed on so much or relegated to meme tier. Then again, the way we players can hold on to erroneous preconceptions, I may just be setting myself up to get my hopes betrayed.

Coming from a f2p NP2 Himiko, 2K foud and maybe a future 120 I think Costantine is Just better than her, at least for normal clears (Costantine with his first skill can loop his NP in some cases), mostly because of damage mitigation, rng control (taunt) and rider natural star generations outsude uptime skill. Just waits for more video, he's a really good secondary support and sometimes subdps because his crits sometimes amounts to a good deal of damage

Costantine Is more loopable with skill 1, has target focus for rng mitigation, whole party defence and the second skills give Attack and buster up (if roman another crit huge buff). Ah and he have some stars per turn, less but still
