Hey brother Tyler once again so awesome when you fish for bass… Your technique and method for fishing for bass is just one of a kind I would choose your way and I know the saying, “ you have to think like a fish,” but in your case brother you have that gift… I always look forward to watching your videos… Here in Las Vegas people have to drive a long ways to fish for bass and at the ponds I hear stories of bass being caught but that’s all… But if I had to choose from all the fishermen on KZbin it’s you brother… Thanks Tyler and Merry Christmas to you as well…

Softer rods definitely help. Most swimbaits are made out of carbon and glass - giving it a more moderate action. Doesn't pull the hooks out of the fishes mouth. So yes, you are correct about the softer rod helping!

I find it difficult to believe that there are that many of us who know more about fishing, then you do. I no longer fish, but live vicariously through your videos. I have to add, I am getting pretty good at guessing the weight of the fish you catch. I said 5 you said 5 1/2.

Where I live I know of one good spot to fish with a variety of fish healthy fish but nothing super huge. As far as I know we don't have these have these ponds of giants around here here. I would love to have you fish at my spot with me and show me how to catch more and bigger fish bigger fish. I think I fished my spot better than most people but I bet you would just tear me up. Love your videos Man Merry Christmas

Fluorocarbon’s great! It helps avoid pulling bait from their mouth. I’ve never Broke off and use 20lb Seagar yellow. Plus its less visible for the bigger fish!

Softer rods are good for treble hooked baits where as stiffer rods are better if not necessary for those larger/heavier single hook baits that weigh 4 oz or more.

Merry Christmas Ty! Can’t nobody say anything about your choice of swimbait rod. If they do just refer them to your videos. It obviously works.

Fyi. I was given a "duckling top water plug" in 2022 from a friend. I used it in a local fishing lake (10 acres) in late summer Water temp was at 68°. Nothing biting on the surface. On my 6th cast, a 16lb brown trout took that bait. I had no idea brown trout (Large) ate ducklings!! Almost peed my pants!!

Hey Ty Just wondering how heavy that swimbait is? im thinking of ordering the same rod. The thing is, i want to fish for our Murray cod with it and some of the lures, are like 60 grams and that is just the lures i use, some people use double that... I have a swim bait rod by kast king and its super stiff like you said... Ive noticed that speed demon has held up to some serious fish on your channel, what do you think the biggest fish is, that you've caught on that rod? just wondering your thoughts if you see this! Merry Christmas and happy New year mate Love from Australia 🇦🇺
@TyPigPatrol15 күн бұрын
Hey man thanks for asking…. That Swimbait is 4.25 oz. There is a guy using those exact baits for huge cod. Are the cod around trees and structure a lot? I’d say you’re def safe to use that rod for cod, I’ve caught alligator gar up to 150 lbs on it, and golden dorado up to 40, arapaima, ect. The only concern I would have is if a giant cod is headed for timber, turning his head would be hard with the medium heavy, a bit easier with the XH.
@bushfishncook212814 күн бұрын
@TyPigPatrol hey Ty, there is definitely timber structure when fishing for Murray cod, in saying that other spots they sit in weed beds or under rock shelves, I mainly fish rocky areas for them. I thought that was the same rod you used on the arapaima, well at least I know it won't break easily... I might just have to really give the cod some grief to turn their head, it should just make for a bit more of a fun fight. I think I will give it a go, awesome to hear people are using those swimbaits here for the cod, I might have to get my hands on some, they look awesome 👍 Really appreciate you taking the time to respond mate Cheers Mick

It's hard to imagine even a big bass's throat being able to open up wide enough to swallow a bait fish that big. I've caught dinks that were about the size of the lures I was fishing with so it stands to reason that the big bass might hit monster sized baits. Bass aren't the smartest fish in the world. They can be among the most aggressive though.

Bro what pond does this guy have I sweat every video he fished this pond he catch a monster
@Dirtydom18 күн бұрын
I just don’t get how you fish all these different ponds in your area and catch multiple giants! I’m in SE Houston plenty of ponds but just no bass that big mainly dinks or 1lbers
