I love when they're taking off, how they appear to just effortlessly rise into the air.✈️💕🩷🤗 Take-off has always been my favorite part when I travel because I love the speed of roaring down the runway and then feeling the G-forces when it lifts off.

wow i remember the days in the late 80s being in boot camp and school , in the Navy there and the planes would take right off over the base, you can see them when the planes are heading down the runway , with the Redish tops,,, the marine base would be to the Right of the runway and run perpendicular to the runway ,,, iremember when first flying in you came over this one mountain peak then dropped down pretty quick then there it was the airport,, that had been my first time ever being west of the Mississippi river in my life, and being from The Detroit area , i have been going to the airport watching planes with my dad as a kid in the 70s and still live in the same area and when the northern flight pattern takes off im only about 5 miles from the airport and the western ,most runway flies directly over my home :) Gotta love it ,

I've been going to Comic-Con for over 20 years and people who have not flown into this airport get real nervous on final where you are flying right past downtown and keep getting lower and lower with no sign of a runway. Then you go over the parking garage where the person filming is standing and you drop like a ROCK onto the runway after you've cleared it. Always gets a few gasps lol

I lived on Air base. B52 F16 C 141 etc taking off. At first it sounds loud and then you learn to go to sleep by them. You get used to the sound and. Barely hear it. Nice sound. Welcome. Soothing

12:28 the San Diego airport runway is very old and it is undersized by today's standards at 9,400ft long. Compare that to LAX which has a 12,000ft runway. This is one reason they tried to relocate the airport.

You see the Laurel Street parking building in some of these landing. When it was built they failed to realize it was three stories too tall and the levels had to be removed. I’m used to go up to the top floor on my lunch hour and got those same closeups of incoming.
