The actual stats are impacted not only by the RDC, but the equipement too. For San Sebastian, the light bikes and tires are used, whch gives every single rider a boost to those stats.

Huh, how is this the first time I hear this. It makes sense, looking at the distribution. Steimle's +5 HILL could be made from +2 RDC (not +3 as RDC affects more the secundaries iirc), +1 from form and +2 from equipment, or something like that. Though I'd still agree with Benji that swings downward should be deeper than swings upward.

@@kraknoix0075 Well, I can tell you from experience that tires/tyres do! I am Continental team with crappy tire sponsor and my Cobbles team leader (Vacek (flatted 5 times!) That never happens when on a WCT team with good tire sponsors.

One problem with the strategy to climb with your leader and everyone behind him is, when you change the cyclist who protects him, the next one comes from the last spot of your train. If the tempo is high, he spends almost entire energy just to reach the top. Better do the classic Sky train on this climbs)))

On race condition... you haven't seen 2015 Tour of California when Sagan climbed like a superhero to stay in the GC fight with Alaphilipe.

I watched that race but I disagree with it being an example. With PCM RDC, Sagan would suddenly be 76 MO instead of 71 and win that race against Alaphilippe. Positive RDC is too extreme.

Regarding RDC, it should only impact secondary stats and the main specialisation of the rider. So if you are a sprinter it will boost only sprint and acc and not climbing or hills.
