Ponds looking awesome mate even better in person . Definitely a learning curve . I finally got round to getting my big filter finished thanks to your black label sealant 😂 . Get your self a instagram made up for your pond for smaller updates that’s what I did CBSkoi

On the barrels cut your ring the size of the top then pack the edges with jap mat or something

Need to treat the Kohaku to stop any infection. Filter system working a treat but maybe a pre sieve would help collect larger bits?

Looks ace especially that Acer is beautiful, time to practice on your microscope and if no parasites just sedate the koi snd treat with tramodine and propolis

Looks great bud great update i think that kohaku needs treating bud it looks like its got a bit of a bacterial issue there bud 👍 hope you get it sorted 😊 Also your tree in the front is an acer i think its an Acer palmatum Atropurpurea

Thanks mate. Treatment kit is on the way and a friend has offered to give me some help using it. He's also going to help me do a scrape and run me through how to use my microscope. Thanks for the acer info 👍

Brizzle I’d just make pond enclosure I’m sure Mrs will come round, mine did 😅 and if she didn’t like it I handed the wife the Dewalt 😂 fill ya boots😂 That Tool was to much for her too handle lol Dog house is short lived . Now she loves it 🤷🏻 Women 😅

Definitely an Acer . Take some cuttings which there’s a technique to get established cuttings before cutting 🤔 😅 KZbin 🇯🇵 outlet on Bonsai guide to “grow /cuttings” Long short is you peal back bark wrap with cloth and keep damp eventually roots will start to shoot give time but when roots fluffy barbs cut of main 🌳 then re-pot 👍🏻 And just think if you go full out on pond enclosure be almost living quarters 😅 you might be there for Little while 😂 GOOD LUCK

Brizzle I would take out sedate little push on the area see if fluid releases then tamadean and salt pond .3 or .5 for but only .5 for week or so then reduce to .3 … Hopefully it’s not a tumour 🤷🏻
