Kalau di Indonesia, buah ini namanya Nangka. tapi disini, dipulau Jawa juga dinamakan ketewel jika belum matang alias masih mentah. nangka emang buahnya manis kalau udah bener-bener mateng. kalau ketewel (buah mentahnya) biasa dibikin sayur, baik di oseng maupun pakai kuah. kalau di daerahku seringkali dimasak menggunakan santan jadi dinamakan santenan ketewel. kalau di daerah Yogyakarta buah nangka/ketewel dimasak menggunakan santan juga tapi sampe santannya bener-bener meresap, jadi Ketewelny berubah jadi warna kecoklatan. itu dinamakan Gudeg, kuliner khas Yogyakarta. We (specially here in South Kalimantan, Indonesia) have special recipe for cooking the skin of jackfruit. We add salt to the skin to make it fermented. After that, we stir fry it with onion, garlic, chilies. And we call it MANDAY. It's so delicious, you have to try.

In my village in Mangalore we marinate the young unripened jackfruit in salt water for a few weeks. Once the salt has penetrated, we soak it in fresh water to remove the excess salt and then stir-fry it in coconut oil with mustard seeds and Kashmiri chillies. It's a great way to preserve the jackfruit over a long period of time.

Di kami di Indonesia nangka yg sudah matang kuning dan wangi dapat di buat es buah nangka, selai nangka, roti bolu nangka, selai nangka, keripik nangka, selain itu nangka dapat juga di goreng dengan bahan tepung terigu+telur ayam kampung+gula putih+bubuk vanilla, Untuk bijinya kami dapat merebus untuk membuat perkedel biji nangka, Salam dari kami penonton di Indonesia🎉🇮🇩😊🙏❤
