With an ambiguous 'no-no-no!' ending like that, they could've made this into a horror found-footage monologue with Slenderman appearing in the background somewhere - what a missed opportunity! 🤣Jokes aside, what a bittersweet monologue. Hugh's character describing the difference of perspectives, particularly over the concept of 'hope', was a pure heartbreaking moment for me. 🙁

I'm guessing that he saw the person he's talking about/to. My bet is that the person he loved, died or left in the script? He most likely saw her, like- imaginating he's seeing her and went to chase that illusion of her. Perhaps thinking that she came back? But, like not her? If that makes sense? Idk it's my guess, could be wrong

The script is part of a post-apocalyptic story so, at the end, I'm guessing that the aliens who had taken over the earth were in sight and coming his way. Really. =)
