He comes across as one of those smart people who know what they mean in their own head, but don't realise they're unable to string meaningful sentences together. He exhibits Knights-Move Thinking which is consistent with psychosis, but its interdispersed with technical jargon so people just assume it's their own lack of understanding. Would love to have met him 10-15 years ago before he lost it.

He’s saying we have incredible deflationary events happening in the banking system that you cant see from main st. until it hits you with full momentum. Bank closures and Great Depression lineups at every bank. What the economy really needs is real negative inters rates to correct the market, but will eventually correct regardless. Gold has always and will eventually become the world reserve currency
@smithyboy572
@smithyboy572 Жыл бұрын
@@Bhgjjj thanks for the translation. Okay point on deflation, bank credit creation for consumer is up 12%. There’s a story to know about that situation involving the central bank. Rates don’t move the economy. Look at GDP X 10 yr - GDP leads rates. Gold, I’d rather own BTC.

Hugh Hendry is very silly. The guy has the affect of an LA music executive circa 1977. He hasn't managed a fund since 2017, and his claim to fame really being two good years. No one's made money on his advice since 2008, so hard to see why he's on Bloomberg beyond the amusing shtick. I suppose he wins a contest for "least dour Scot", but beyond that? Feels almost like he's having himself a joke at the expense of news editors, showing up on a buttoned down business show like he's fresh off a Tony Montana after party . . . as performance art, I guess I appreciate it.

He agreed to it he said he would own 15% of gold. But he also made a brilliant mockery "you can't win w gold in a manipulated constraint system but only when that system is finally broken" that's what he meant with silly nihilism.

Quantitative easing by central banks has taken the place of money creation by private banks. Most of the QE will never be unwound - it is defacto monetization of government debt. So don’t worry about deflation.

Yes..gold...no intrinsic value. Better hedge against inflation is natural resources. Stocks....best way to beat inflation over time, but grab a slice of the market. Market is up more often than down by the way. Side gig...learn how to evaluate businesses and buy good ones at a discount. Lastly, turn off financial media..blah blah
