Fantastic, strong and melodious! I also warble and play the mandolin, what be this instrument, it looks a good deal on the bigger side than mine, thanks for the song

@@seangrogan3622 thanks for listening brother and for the kind comment 🙏 I’m playing an Irish bouzouki, it’s close to an octave mandolin, (different scale length), can be tuned the same as a mandolin but I’m tuned to GDAD! That’s used in Irish music a lot! Are you a Dick Gaughan fan?
@seangrogan36222 ай бұрын
@@hughjosephfeely Thanks for the info, I will definitely check out the Irish bouzouki and see if I can get one for myself. Different tunings are great to play around with, sometimes the unimaginable comes out! I was mostly raised on Irish music, so I wasn't aware of Dick Gaughan until quite recently, but he is fantastic, and it's great that people like you are keeping his music alive.

That's an awesome harmonically flowing rhythm you get from your bouzouki! (For mere mortals who want to play along with an acoustic guitar in standard tuning: Capo 1 : E major, B major, and A major)k

Ahh thank you very much, glad to hear you’re rocking along on the guitar! I play in a trio sometimes and the guitar sounds excellent accompanying this one, gives it a hell of a backbone!
