I had the pleasure to meet Mark in Costa Rica during the Accept tour he talks about here. As a player and guitar tech myself, I had the time of my life. Mark is extremely knowledgeable, we talked for hours about gear and he was very friendly and down-to-earth. I enjoyed this interview a lot, knowing it was a "tech interview", not a rig rundown. Great to see some attention given to the highly overlooked heroes backstage!!!

Thanks for the great feedback! Yeah, we always like to showcase the work the guys behind the band do, as it often gets overlooked, and Mark's been there and done so much. Like we said in the interview, he really needs to write a book about his experiences! Team H&K

The tech is a bit of a jerk - he totally doesn't want to be there.

This guy has no clue how a rig rundown works. By the way it’s “SCHALLER” trem not “SCHECTER”, if you know so much.

For the people complaining that the guy is just talking about himself too much - umm hey, thats the point of this interview brainiacs! its not about Thayers gear, its about the guitar tech himself!!

We're glad you got it Ron :) The idea was indeed to hear about Mark and his career, and what it's like to be a tech to the stars - as explained in the video description. We interviewed Tommy that same afternoon to get his side of things. We understand a few people might think of Mark as being, let's say, extremely confident in his abilities ;) But, seeing what he's achieved over the decades, he's 100% got the right to be proud of his achievements!

Yes he does and well I guess the people complaining need to learn how to read. lol... Keep up the good work guys, haters just wanna hate! Had he talked about Tommys rig those who complained about this video would have said negative things about Tommy or Kiss...

This was supposed to be about Mark and the life of a guitar tech though! We thought it'd be interesting for you guys to hear from the people behind the band. Watch the interview we did with Tommy Thayer the same day though - there's more amp talk in there: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGPUZaeNj76GaJY

WRONG DMSProduktions ..... I work as Lighting Director touring myself with many top tier artists. Have worked with some of the absolute best guitar techs in the business and on occasion you have to work alongside some snarky dick who really are full of themselves. THIS guy most certainly qualifies as one of them in this video interview. The biggest narcissistic dick on the Kiss crew is the drum tech though, if its the same guy was was working for them a few years back. Just because you have a great job is no reason to have a licence to be such a prick. Usually these same people are actually good at their job though.
