Hi I have a 8 month old fiberglass pool similar to the one behind you in this video. The retaining wall is flush with the pool just like the one behind you. I have white drippings seeping down that wall and will not come off of my fiberglass waterline. They have been there since install and getting worse. My installer said they would clean it at the end and they were never able to get the markings off. They are suggesting I use a glass waterline tile to cover it. What do you think of that idea? Do you think glass tile will be easier to maintain or do you think those drippings will come back? My fiberglass shell is dark blue and I really like the look of the shell and did not want a tile or grout lines, but now it seems I must do it because the rock drip lines are so ugly that it makes the pool look degraded and old even though its brand new. Any advice would be great. I'm happy to post a pic someway if that would help describe.

Try some CLR on the fiberglass pool shell. It is a mild acid that will eat away the deposits and will not hurt the fiberglass pool surface.

If you have experienced problems with tiles on fibreglass pools it is probably because the wrong adhesive was used. If you need to drain a pool to make a tile repair then obviously you are using the wrong tile adhesive. The right epoxy adhesive can be used under water, even on salt water pools.

This video is TOTALLY ruined by constant background music. It is a talking video, NO MUSIC. I really wanted to listen to the video as I want to tile my fiberglass pool, but gave up after a couple of minutes. Total waste of time.
