as someone who worked landscape maintenance i know that most of our tools were 2 stroke, chainsaw, trimmer, gas blower ect. and i was always under the assumption it was becasue not only the versatility of movement not having to worry about the engine staying level during operation as well as their abilitiy and optimized performance as an engine that is designed to be at full throttle for long periods of time. for example during hedge season we use gas 2 stroke hedge trimmers and run them up to 3 hours straight at sometimes comeplete full throttle. these engines operate like this 10 hours a day and these machines last 5 years or more. I always here people on the motorized bike community though say that 2 strokes dont like to be at full throttle for long peiods of time. Im curios why is this the case as most other 2 stroke engines are designed to be operated at full throttle for long periods of time, i men think about it Even lumberjacks how would they be expected to work all day if theyre always running half throttle and letting the engine cool down every hour.

The only thing I can really say after running mine is that the stock exhaust has to go if you do buy a better carb. While running a larger really expensive carb I did notice that I got better performance but it wasn't great because more fuel in means a better exhaust is needed to get the burned and spent fuel out.

I’ve been running 40:1 for years and years in just about every 2 stroke engine I’ve had and I’ve never had any issues with it not oiling properly or wearing out prematurely!!! Infact it’s more than good enough!!!! The thing most people don’t understand is that 2 stroke motors are happier in the high rpms and they don’t like idling too much!!!! You end up with fouled plugs and clogged spark arrestors when you constantly run a 2 stroke engine in the lower rpm range…
@shanebehling45522 жыл бұрын
The key to going fast with small displacement engines is the fuel. I was able to go 50mph on 49cc two stroke engine using 110 octane trick fuel in 1977. I figured it out when I was 16 years old. It’s not complicated 🏁🏁🏁

I've rejeted the stock carb to a 66. readjusted the "E" clip leaner, top notch. Starts hard. just crack the throttle the engine will slowly wind up. The engine seems to clear it's self at a very low throttle, I can feel the raw power come up. If I add throttle it blubblers, come back off the throttle and it will clear again and run with power. Smaller main jet still? Then richen the needle setting? Zeda engine bottom, compression head, hotter ignition and plug, the big box reed, stock NT carb. 4 inch tube between the carb and the reed box.

Hi Eugene, i’ve been looking at purchasing another 80cc kit. However I’ve looked and a couple of different models and the specs of the motor are exactly the same (identical) but the maximum speeds are about 10kph difference. Why would that be is there a speed limiter on these motors? If not am I able to increase the speed with my racing head and racing carburettor that I have. Thanks very much. Take care buddy.👍
@HughesMotorized4 жыл бұрын
Expect 40-51kph on average. A poorly balanced engine might get less. An engine with less trash in the ports and a better balanced crank might get closer to 60kph. No, there isn't a limiter per se, but the limits are manufacturing variables / defects

Anyone curious about the death of the gentleman in Colorado should know that it was NOT the fault of the bike Hughes sold him. The reason he mentions safety and the importance of gear is because there are people that can hit you and send you flying off your bike to your doom, which is exactly what happened with the bike he sold. I could only dig up two separate incidents where a motorized biker died because they were both launched off their bikes due to impact with an SUV in 2019 and 2021 respectively. Get yourself some good brakes, wear your dang helmet, be aware of your surroundings, stay sober on the bike, and you’re good to go

@HughesMotorized4 жыл бұрын
You need a torch, solder, drill press and a micro drill set. Go easy as the bits are easy to break. I'd say hide a switch that merely shorts out the kill switch wires. Or get a key switch that is normally closed and opens the circut when the key is switched on

the kit told me to run premium 97 gasoline mixed with 16:1 oil or something close to that, with my stock kit, but since u mentioned the gas mixture that is recommended is wrong, do u think premium 97 is necessary? My weedwacker uses 87 with a 40:1 mixture and it would be much more convenient if they both used the same gas

40:1 and reg unleaded is best

Personally I've had the cheaper eBay $15 HP carb work 5 times better then the stock carb. No matter how I jetted/tuned the stock carb the bike would 4 stroke at 25+mph, wouldn't go above about 32-33. New HP carb with the right jet I hit 58mph downhill and 48mph flat

@@HughesMotorized hey boss, do the throttle cables stretch out over time and need replacing? I adjusted all the areas it's little tighter but seems to not have as much power in the 1/3 1/4 throttle area, should I replace. Or is there something else maybe. Thanks

I bought one of this little 50cc engine and installed. Having hard time to started and it doesn't idle. Only runs at about 50% throttle and up. Cheched compression and have 70 psi. What can I do to bring that up little higher? THANKS!

Sounds like an intake leak. Make sure carb is fully pushed onto intake

This video was how I found out my 100cc engine was just an 80cc with a big ass head on it. OOF. I wish the manufacturers wouldn't lie, it's so pointless.

There's a difference in how the Chinese calculate engine displacement (and add in some misdirection) and the way the rest of the world calculate it. That adds to the confusion. But YA, it's all over the place. There are Big Bore Kits sold for scooters to increase the displacement and many just flat out lie

Hey question for ya! I see these motors say they can fit on 24-28 inch mountain bikes. is that true? Mainly a 24inch one is the target goal. 80cc china kits like off amazon
@JDBajaBlast3 жыл бұрын
Rule of thumb is no the triangle frame is to small but I'd measure yours and measure the kit first and leave atleast 3 inches of clearance
