Yep - cracked two ribs trying to get out of the bath. Slipped on the soapy bath floor, bashed into the disabled handrail. Absolute agony. Worst part about broken ribs - you can’t put them in a cast. All you can do is take painkillers and wait for them to heal

The idea is that with prompt medical attention, physiotherapy afterwards, etc. the arm will eventually be able to perform normally. Hughie is not a professional athlete, so he wouldn't notice much of a difference. An arm broken in other ways can reduce functionality by a lot more, and would actually impair Hughie's ability to live his life.

I think this is a slight reference to the comics, where "The Female" breaks Hughie's arm after he tried to take one of her candies while she was in coma. Maybe is not a reference and it's just a coincidence, but the series still in Season 4 have references to the comics even when both have already separated to each other a lot.

Most knockouts only last a few seconds to a couple minutes. So it’s not a guarantee it’ll work as intended. People might be on the floor for a while longer but they are awake and aware. I believe being out for longer leads to brain damage
