I just came back from Hugo Kant's live show in my city of Liege, Belgium. A 3 hours long crazy set and for a good cause (for an organization). He gave it his all, despite the fact that we were only 70 people. I'll go see him again, that's for sure. Unfortunately he didn't have any vinyl with him. My God, I danced my ass off. Thanks Hugo, it was a real trip! 😵‍💫🙏

Ok, update. Two listens in the mountains. Were currently in the Himalaya, Dharamasala, home of dalai llama. Tibetan people and culture. We went for dinner in our favourite Tibetan cafe. Four tables. Two full of Tibetan monks, one for myself and daughter, final one the locals. My friend who's mum runs the cafe put this on their system quietly on my request. No complaints, one of the monks asked me who the artist was 😎🙏👍. Smiles. Fourth listen at home as I write. This production is really superb, gets even better the more you listen. Detailed tunes, layers of sound, solid grooves. Very happy to hear this again and again Mr Kant . Loving the plink plonk sounds in some of the tunes. And the flute is uplifting. Nice nice vibes.... 🎵👌

I listened to this album so many times during covid work from home that I realized it's one of my favorites, so I bought the album on bandcamp and ordered a shirt. To touch on only one part of a truly outstanding album, the sound design and production, mixing of electronic and analog instruments is done so tastefully and creatively, it is both subtle and bold and I think very forward-thinking for the genre. Hey wouais, soft swing d'autant plus agréable que débordant de fines sonorités, authentiques de leurs seules harmoniques..., aux émanations très mélodiques d'une surprenante originalité, Revivalistik: enfin la Suite inspirée de ce qu'est le vrai bon "esprit rock" avec un sens limpide de la construction symphonique... De King Crimson à "Jane&l'Égard-Son", Omega et les Ventouses aurales... j'y retrouve l'intensité de tous les vieux groupes Krautrock qui ont débouché sur des Sphongle ou autres groupes psycholithiques...

Honestly I wish I could post some pictures for your guys on here. I have to say, imvho this release by Hugo is really superb. Love the user of the spoken word over the music. I thought this tracklist was modern, updated Kant. Two plays as we woke on the way up. One more step very pleasing time. Really enjoyable, my daughter agreed.
