Nice review tho : - Are the range of color good enough for you? (after your 1week of use) - is there any parallax? If yes is it small enough - you should also do a ruler test, it is a great way to see how the pen translates to the screen - your video is nearly impossible to find because you didnt mention the "v2" version in yout title, people wont see the v2 in the thumbnail Overall a great vid, very clean, so yeah good luck for the rest 👍

Hi, The range is good, not the best but good enough. I had gamma issues with my calibration, so I calibrated it again and it's all good. Parallax is good enough. I know it's a little bit better than my companion. I will do a ruler test. Thanks for the advice. And I changed the tag and title to say v2. thanks for that as well.

After calibrating on your recommendations and a multitude of combinations, I can't get the pen dialed in. It get close in some parts of the screen and in others it is still off. Any other tips Jiro? Or am I looking at getting involved with Huion support and possibly a return?

I just have some questions: What is your current monitor setup? Does it weirdly move in one spot? Have you tried reinstalling the driver? Can you check that your active monitor in the huion software is the gt156hd? If you think that you did everything, just chat with huion. They're customer service is great. They reply during their work hours in their timezone though.

Jiro Tamase my pointer is off nearly a Centimeter in some areas on the screen. It is best near the center, but gets more off as I move to the corners. I was able to dial it in but only certain areas would be better. I have not reinstalled the drivers yet, but I will try that. I have several issues getting them installed in the first place, so I'll try to reinstall. Active monitor is correct. What monitor setting were you curious about? I have a ticket in with Huion when they get in to work

Hi can you tell me how you flipped the image because I am also a lefty and couldn't get the image to flip. I clicked on the 180 orientation and it wouldn't change. And I refuse to actually flip the image from the extended screen menu.

Hi Ray, you would have to do that in within the windows display settings, there's a drop down menu right under the resolution and change it to "Landscape (Flipped)"

SOL SHIM - Hi! Unfortunately, it relies on a PC/Mac Connection to work. It’s not an independent tablet but a pen display.

Very informative review. I want to buy it but can you tell me about the ruler test. Gt 191 has a problem with it. the lines are too shaky so lineart would be uncomfortable. what about the 156 one? Thanks

Hi Nino, and thanks! I will post a video of this soon with another time lapse drawing, but from what I have tested using a bunch of straight edges, the shaking is very minimal and sometimes not there.

Hi Kael, Sorry to hear that. All the express keys are working on mine but I have never used them except to adjust the colors. You can also message them and get a replacement/return if you want. That's a big quality control issue.

Hi, My 156V2 has also the screen that flickering/ turns black sometimes .(i returned it, and the replacement has this problem too). The seller think it's an hardware/monitor issue(But I haven't tested yet with an another wire or adapter, not really easy to find one which fit ). Does your tablet still work fine ?I read that some x-pen tablet have this kind of issue and it does not seems good(sometimes the tablet doesn't work after a few months).It's an another brand, so i hope it's not the same thing, it's not really annoying it's true..but on a basic monitor or tv this kind of thing is not really sign of quality.(sorry for my english)

Hi, I currently have the same problem. It's minimal at best. I am not sure if it's the cable or not. And I have no way of recording it since it happens at random times. Yo uare not alone in this. Ultimately, these replacements will catch up, but Wacom is still the best (but expensive) option.

I have a laptop but the screen is not super colour accurate. After calibration would this still be a good option? Or should I have at least one monitor that has good colour accuracy?

Hi howva, the screen is not the best but it isnt bad either. I do have another monitor since I work on a desktop and I suggest one that's color accurate if your budget allows it. TBH, there are times that I like the results of the tablet screen than my monitor. I also use my iphone or ipad to view jpg results of my art. If you're working on vector art, it's always good to have the hexcode handy.

It's super sad that it cant have good color :c I was leaning toward the xp-pen 16 pro but I'd rather have the accurate pen (less parallax and no wobble) I ordered the Huion Kamvas GT-156HD V2, hope the colors aren't too bad :c

I am not sure about older Huion pens. I apologize. This is my first Huion product. And yes, you can turn it off, even unplug it when not in use.

Hi Zecle ! No problem with the pen : I own the HUION GT 220 V.2 and the GT 156 V.2 and my computers are using Windows. Yes you can use the pen you want they are " switchable ", that's the first thing I've tried when receiving my GT 156 : the new pen PE 330 wich comes with the GT 156 works also on the GT 220 V2 and I think it will work on the GT 190 also (same driver). On the opposite, the pen that comes with the WH 1409 only works on the WH 1409 ... Since I bought the GT 156, I only use the pen provided with it on both GT 156 V.2 and GT 220 V.2, I like it very much ! When I received the GT 156 V.2 there was two pen PE 330 in the box, cool !

Not sure if you know, but genetically only female cats have white fur with less dark spots, while males have more dark spots. So according to the fur color your cat boy should be a girl, because he has less dark spots.

Hello, After seeing this video I immediately wanted to order this tablet and in the end it was given to me as a birthday present (love you mommy) three days ago but I have a big problem with my two pens (brand new). They only work if they’re plugged into my computer. I loaded them all one night respectively but nothing happens once they are unplugged, they won't do anything, not even move the cursor, nothing... I then uninstalled the huion driver with Revo, restarted my computer, reinstalled the driver and reconnected my tablet but it still doesn’t work so I unplugged my tablet, re-installed the driver, etc. Honestly I don’t know what to do, I think the batteries of both stylets have a problem but I'm a little bit afraid to order a new one, you never know... I know that this video is old but if anyone has a solution to my problem please share it :c

It's a bit late at this point, but I should try to help. 1. Those two pens are probably defective, if that's the case, you have to refund them if possible and have them replaced. 2. Try to see if your tablet/pen works fine on another computer. 3. You should also check if there are drivers of other drawing tablets installed and try to remove them. ​@@nikeanton7870 Thank you so much for answering my comment :'c For the pens I also think that they are defective at least the battery because the pens work just fine when they are plugged into my computer but once i unplug them they just don't show any sign of life... Also when I just got the tablet I actually tried to install it on two computer, my current one and my mother's (I used to draw with a wacom tablet before so I thought that the problem maybe came from a bad deinstallation of the driver but on my mother's computer I met the same problem) And I think that the cable works fine, to me it seems that the pens are the only problem with this tablet... Which is weird because Huion gives you two pens for this tablet and both of them have the same issue Anyway thank you so much and the reddit link you sent was really interresting to read but I think that I should just try to buy a new pen but this time one that doesn't have to be charged maybe it will work this time ^^
