My interpretation is that the poet emphasises the feeling of not givivng birth as maternal instincts are activated, whereas women who dont give birth due to many reasons won't experince this. The poet explains that she won't be able to experince that feeling and she doesn't like that because she may really wnat to give birth. I personally don't think it's about women being emotionless if they don't give birth its the thing that you won't love any child as much as you'd love your own. not bashing or anything just wanted to give my opinio, love your vidoes !

Dat dit kommentaar lewer op hoe die vrou in die samelewing gesien word wanneer sy nie kinders kry nie (of dit deur keuse is of oor biologiese redes). Dat baie mense in die samelewing nogsteeds dink dat die vrou se enigste doel in die lewe is om kinders te kry. En wanneer sy nie kinders kry nie en miskien op haar beroep fokus dink mense die vrou is hard, koud en selfsugtig.

Die feit dat die figuurlik betekenis van hierdie gedig geignoreer is, bewys die ware tema van dit - dat vrouens nogsteeds in daardie perspektief aangesien is.
