Tino is undoubtedly an excellent trained natural musician , but what is amazing to many listeners is his unique touch on these now classic songs . I think it is the voice and vocalisation , something the younger generations of Tongan musicians must learn. Malie Tino Tatafu , Ma'ufanga moe Fungafonua ia . Next time I am in Tonga , I will look you up for some liquid refreshments . Ofa atu ,Aisake Takau

This is the best Version of this Tongan Classic I ever heard. Smooth and full of Grace that capture the spirit of the late Queen Salote the Third. Well done to Tino Tatau for the effort you put in. Very proud Tongan...

Tino is a rare talent in that his arrangements of these Tongan ageless tracks has given them a new lease of life - and not many artists can do that. His bluesy guitar riffs suggest that Tongan love songs can cross-over to blues or jazz in the the hands of an accomplished muso. His 'Lavaka-tuning' imitations is cleverly mellowed down and is the closest thing to the original that I've heard and will certainly please the maestro who is probably listening in from the other world.
