The Incredible Hulk tv series was very much a mature thoughtful adult affair taking its queue from that other well known tv series The Fugitive rather than the comic book it was based on. It was a low budget show compared to other shows. My favourite part of this series has always been the way they change Banners eyes to his transformation into the Hulk.

Actually the show was the most expensive too produce, one of the reasons it was canceled. The rising costs of the makeup and special effects, not too mention the Hulkouts were always at a different place. So set construction was also costly. Shows like Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers would rely on stock footage. Producers of the show would usually go overbudget, it hurt them alot, they missed out on alot of great actors and actresses who wanted to guest star on the show. Celebrities like Elizabeth Montgomery and Cary Grant were big fans of the show, can you imagine Elizabeth Montgomery as Dr. Caroline Fields in the 2 hour, second season premiere of "Married"? She would of been perfect. Or Cary Grant in the episode, "Homecoming." As DW Banner, David's dad. Again, he would of been perfect.

And as a black belt you dishonored the art you practice by using it to assassinate Terry. David always seems to find monsters that don't need to turn green to be what they are.
