Open Fight Night would become very interesting if they also included roster members whose contracts are up for renewal. Just imagine Flair and Hogan coming to the ring having to prove themselves to guest judge Dixie Carter. The advantage this could have with a member of the roster who can actually wrestle would be to precipitate a heel turn in someone who doesn't get their contract renewed but turns up to Impact anyway each week to wreck havoc!

In the NBA, they used to call Mitch Richmond "Poor Man's Jordan" because he could do it all, but he played on the lowly Sacramento Kings. In the NFL, people often call Tony Romo a "Poor Man's Aaron Rodgers" because he has a cannon arm, he's mobile, but he plays on a team that often never makes the playoffs and when they do they're bounced out in the first round.

This will make things more interestin' for sure and allow for new angles to come about. Definably testin' the waters and initiatin' new talent. It'll give rise to fresh matches and revivals of old feuds. However this sounds a little similar to ROH's Proving Ground concept. Puttin' the TV Title back on tv is good 'cause that belt needs lifted badly as do all the titles with the exception of the World Title. TNA's gotta take this on the road 'cause this could produce nice live reactions for tv.

Morrison can't make the crowd excited, that's one of the reasons he got canned. In order to be successful at TNA or WWE, you need to be able to talk. And until that Rap video he cut around mania, no one was convinced he had the charisma to do it hence Miz became a bigger star quickly. And nothing TNA says now means anything. Witness the same finish from Bound 4 Glory being repeated with Lockdown. And they'll have RVD win the title from Roode b/c of the perception he's a bigger star.

I have seen Morrison at shows where he got crowds excited, but not everyone likes every wrestler. As for for talking.. while many of them can talk, with few exceptions most of them are less believable than Garrett Bischoff, and that is saying something. The Bobby Roode thing is he may need to make the jump to WWE.. but I am not seeing that happen as they are not about to make the level of promises they made to Alberto Del Rio again. That cost Vince more money that they are letting on.

Ability wise yes. But Aries is a poor man's CM Punk because he's on a lower rated program, and he's a mid-card champion where as CM Punk is the World Champ on the highest rated show. That's why Aries is a poor man's CM Punk and not the other way around. Ability wise, Aries is the total package.
