One of the funniest movie deaths ever. Also the comic book transitions look so ridiculous for a movie that was supposed to be taken much more seriously than any CBM to arrive in the early 2000s.

i think they just overdid them when reading a comic, the transition from panel to panel and how they transition help you immerse yourself in the story. as a movie all it does is repeatedly take me out of it by forcing the traits of the static medium comic into the fluid medium of film

The muscle deformation and animation of the Hulk in this movie was top notch imo, sure it wasn't the best Hulk movie but damnit they at least tried!!!..

It might actually be the best Hulk movie. 2008 is great, I love the Hulk as a terrifying monster, but that's all he really is in that story. Same with Avengers, and every Marvel movie after that slowly flanderized the Hulk into an impotent jobber before killing him off completely. The 2003 movie is a character study of Bruce and the Hulk and the legacy of abuse and trauma that created them. I feel very emotional when watching it. It's not perfect, but man, it had soul.

@@jg2722in this movie, the don’t really try to make Ross the bad guy. He knew about David Banner, Bruce’s father, who’s research would put a lot of people at risk and that it effected his son. He was afraid that Bruce would turn out like his father, wanted to protect his daughter if that were the case. He didn’t hate Bruce personally, may have felt pity for him, but he still a job to do at protecting the country from something as destructive as the Hulk.

I love how in this version, Ross doesn’t want to defeat the Hulk for revenge and glory like he does in the original comics, but he’s against him because he’s terrified of David, assuming that because Bruce has a mutated body system, he’s turning into another version of his evil father. By the end of the movie when he witnesses Bruce and David talking, where David flies into a rant of rage and megalomania, and sees Bruce’s reaction against it, he realizes that he was indeed a good guy after all, not destined to be his father. He always seem to feel sense of guilt, thinking that maybe none of this would have happened, if he had taken Bruce in as a child, right after the incident that tore his life apart.

Talbot didn't bother to think or care that Betty Ross would hate him forever for his abusing Bruce Banner for his own personal revenge for being injured by Bruce as the Hulk earlier while Talbot was beating him up for something he thought Bruce did that made Talbot get angry and personally attack him.
