Hull & Hornsea Railway | Tween Dykes to Sutton on Hull Ep4

This is our journey into the Hull and Hornsea Railway. Originally terminating at Wilmington short of Paragon, the service was extended to the shared Victoria Dock Branch and the Hull and Holderness Railway. We will be documenting our discoveries along the route of the former Hornsea bound route and we will show you all the wonderful Railway Relics along the way.

Pedestrian access to the Hornsea platform was via the fenced off part to the left as you look towards Hornsea and can be just about seen as you look. Access to the Hull platform is the footpath you showed to the right of the bridge as you look towards Hornsea and is still in use today. The drive next to the station masters house was the road access to the goods yard next to the Hull platform.

I was wondering if that bridge in Sutton had been refurbished - it used to have some supports in the centre of it, which now appear to have been removed. It’s looking very good!

Interesting video to follow as my sister used to live in Hornsea. I was surprised you didn't mention that the line crossed under the Hull and Barnsley railway just after Wilmington before reaching Sutton.
