If the Turner Prize is one thing, it's consistent. Consistently controversial. Consistently promoting non-heteronormative and non-native artists. Consistently shit. Paul Joseph Watson's assessment of modern art is spot on.

Yawwwwn! Why is it out of all the diverse range of human activities creating visual, auditory or performing artworks - expressing imaginative and technical skill, creating beauty and emotional power - visual 'modern' art has to be so crap? How many people would actually buy and listen to music if a guitar player in a group played made-up, out-of-tune, chords and vocalists vocalized out-of-tune noises? Would that music group make it on the X-Factor and sell big in the music industry? Be honest, would YOU buy and listen to a music group if they all sang and played out of tune to express their 'angst'? NO - you would not listen to that crap! So why do we accept modern 'crap' in the visual arts? What about the performance art of figure skating? Can you imagine if figure pair skaters deliberately crashed and fell onto the ice in a tumbled heap and called it great, 'modern', figure skating? No! Then why do we accept crap in the visual arts? There are a lot of real, talented, FINE ARTISTS who know about the basic of applying value, colour and edges in painting. Instead we accept ugliness as a form of art. When you have a Near Death Experience - NDE - and see the Light, you are overwhelmed with joy and beauty because beauty is truth, love and spirituality. There is harmony in beauty and truth. Ugliness is not. Great paintings, but the stuff about the newspaper clippings sound like the ramblings of a paranoid schizofrenic. I can understand she has valid reasons to be paranoid, but i don't think it would be difficult to find equally strong (weak) evidence for almost any theory you want using her method.
