I love the parts of this show that seem to be added just so that Steve Martin can be the hilarious and original comedian he is. I think of all the phenomenal acting Steve Martin has ever done, this was by far the best over the top craziness. The whole series is so weird yet so oddly hilarious at the same time. Martin Short is actually at his funniest in this show as well, and I have always loved Selena Gomez she can be pretty funny but I started noticing a couple seasons in that her comedic responses started becoming more hilarious as well. She is learning their style and it’s so great (not saying she needed to learn anything , she is great.. but when you spend that much time working with people , their experience starts to rub off on you

Steve Martin is SO awesome!!!! Was he a music major in college? Musical theater major? His performance of this is really quite stunning. He has a great voice, great pitch, and is incredibly expressive both in voice and body movements/expressions. I think they didn't want to put spoilers in it for people who just wanted to hear the song but haven't caught up to the episodes or watched the show. Like at the end too when they cut to the critic, they left out where they cut to the suspect originally in the episode. So my guess is that they cut that and the collage so they could release it for a wider audience. Like yeah probably people who don't watch the show wouldn't listen to this, but still 😂.
