I spent a majority of my youth pretending to be someone I wasn’t. I wanted so desperately to be cool, to be noticed, to be liked..I didn’t like who was staring back at me in the MIRROR. This is truly worship music. as I was driving today, I couldn't help but think this. Not at all knocking the rest of the 116 crew (Trip Lee also does not compromise and speaks about sin and truth), but there is a clear difference. I love Andy and Lecrae, but I feel that there has been some compromise, when you compare to how hard they went for the Lord in the beginning of their careers. Don't get me wrong, their stuff is still much more listenable, especially for Christians, than anything on the radio. I pray Hulvey continues worshipping on his tracks!

I can’t believe I deviated from Gods path. Was abusing drugs, hanging with the wrong crowd. I was a different person. One day I just couldn’t handle it anymore, started to pray again and go to church, started to have actual convos with God. Started to pray for my enemies and everyone I could. I’m praying I get this job that’s a bit far from my family but I believe God wants me there, never been this excited for a job. I’m going to keep praying and studying, I know what purpose God has for me. I’m so glad I found Hulvey, his music has strayed me away from secular music 🙏🙌

I spent a majority of my youth pretending to be someone I wasn’t. I wanted so desperately to be cool, to be noticed, to be liked..I didn’t like who was staring back at me in the MIRROR. I LIED to sound interesting, I LIED to appear funny, I LIED to get anyone to notice me. I wanted GIRLS to notice me...I was constantly chasing that relationship with ANYONE.. Watching this video makes me remember when I got baptized. I used to get told all the time to go get baptized but I didn’t want to because I didn’t understand what it meant to be baptized. But when I got saved, gave myself completely to Christ, I finally knew that I needed to get baptized.
