A song that was long due.
This Nazm was written by Faiz, a revolutionary poet, briefly after General Zia-ul-Haq began to rob Pakistan off of the democracy they began with. It was then sung fearlessly by Iqbal Bano ji.
There has been a lot of uproar and speculations about the nature and messaging of the song, But if you truly read and understand this Nazm, It is against tyranny and for love, hope and change.
