Gender reveal is usually a surprise for parents . Usually they wrote a note just tell them dont tell and write a note on the paper and they put it in folder. Give them both note and folder to the nurse. Tell her dont tell just write tell them beforehand. . Later decoration guys e.g through balloons if you want to reveal then give that note to them they will fill blue or pink fillings inside. Or through cake inside filling then give it to them. When you record natural reactions comes and it is so beutiful.entire life you will remember it. Like my comment if you will try this

You get to know the gender in anatomy scan which is done at 20 weeks or you can find at 12 weeks through nipt test your doctor should have explained all that in your first appointment itself. You look way past 20 weeks how didn’t the doctor know of gender already.
